Classic English cars, by londonfx on Nov 12, 2015 11:24:40 GMT 1, Thought It would be cool to get a thread going for any classic car enthusiasts.
I don't won't to discriminate against anymore, but it maybe easier to keep this thread for English cars. Then there could a separate thread for American cars.

Classic English cars, by Coach on Nov 12, 2015 12:11:54 GMT 1, My first car was a Triumph Spitfire. British racing green with fawn interior. Seperate hard top and soft top. Constantly broke down. But cute as a button.

I've been playing with the idea of getting an MG BGT or a mk 1 mini. Just need a drive to put them on

Classic English cars, by Philpenn on Jun 6, 2021 5:49:04 GMT 1, My late stepfather was an English car guru. He had a 1954 Bentley R-type Continental, and a 1950 something Jaguar XK120, or XK140. Had some other real cool cars, but they were Italian and German. You can still read a lot of his posts on Jaguar/Bentley forums if you care to search. His name was Christian Hueber. He also co-authored what is now known as the definitive Bentley Continental book.

Classic English cars, by startimeash on Jun 20, 2023 14:52:37 GMT 1, Bit too late to be a classic but I had an MGF Trophy a few years back. Used to thrash the hell out of it, until one day I heard a rumbling and the coolant cap popped off and I started spewing steam everywhere. Looked like an 80s pop video. Pulled into a layby and got laughed at by a passing copper. It was the worst-designed car I've ever had. The handbrake randomly failed while parked and it rolled across the carpark at work. Tried leaving a meeting with my soon-to-be ex-missus with understated dignity and spewed the cambelt out. Blew the head gasket on the A5, then it blew again a year later. Windscreen wiper fell off in the middle of a storm, which meant I spent 10 miles to the next exit with my head out the window.
I loved that car.
Edit: found a pic!

Classic English cars, by ashley123 on Jun 20, 2023 18:13:07 GMT 1, Great thread and beautiful cars! I attended several car shows and I should say there is no photo that can express how great such cars are. Though I like such vehicles, they are not practical for my family with two kids. I recently had to look for a new car and ended up choosing a new one, already addressed these acura financial services and I hope to get the car next week.
