Nick Smith 🇬🇧 Pixelated Art • Colour Swatches • New Print, by dre on Sept 3, 2024 13:06:01 GMT 1, Price drop to £1800 before sending to auction. Hold off, that's far too cheap, especially as it's framed. That's one of the rarer ones and worth £2500 framed all day long. Try e bay (they regurlarly have 80% off fee promos), don't put it into an auction unless you have a strong reserve.

Nick Smith 🇬🇧 Pixelated Art • Colour Swatches • New Print, by Art Attackkk on Sept 4, 2024 10:19:29 GMT 1, Looking for a Nick Smith gluttony donut print in either gloss or diamond dust version. Would prefer unframed. PM me if you have one for sale with price you are looking for. Sadly the one listed above is a bit too pricy for me. Thanks

Nick Smith 🇬🇧 Pixelated Art • Colour Swatches • New Print, by Art Attackkk on Sept 24, 2024 10:58:05 GMT 1, Hi all.
Would anyone have interest in buying a damaged Nick Smith Van Gogh mini self portrait? Edition of 199 dated 2016. This is the smaller version measuring 46 x 36 cm. He also did a later 50 x 70cm version. This was framed, but unfortunately during a house move a while back this was placed underneath something and the glass broke and punctured into some of the swatches. Just surface damage, as you can’t see daylight when holding up to the light. Obviously at the time, as it cost £200 originally I wasn’t hugely upset and just took it out of the frame and have kept flat since. As I haven’t seen another for sale for many years (only the larger one which sold at Bonhams last year), there may well be interest in this even in its damaged state. If not I’ll just get it reframed and up on the wall somewhere dark where I won’t spot the damage as much. 😄 Photos below of the whole print and the damaged area. Hopefully the whole print photo gives a bigger picture of the damage and you can decide if you could live with it. Please pm me with any offers or if you’d like to see more photos. Comes complete with original Nelly Duff COA.

Nick Smith 🇬🇧 Pixelated Art • Colour Swatches • New Print, by Art Attackkk on Sept 26, 2024 22:19:56 GMT 1, I have to say I’m rather confused by your post Morfx. You asked me how much I was looking for this damaged Van Gogh. I said if I didn’t get £1000 I’ll keep it and get it reframed, as it holds some sentimental value to me of period of my life during which the damaged occurred. So it’s £1000 or I would rather keep it, ignore the damage and get it reframed rather than selling it cheaply. My best UK buyer offer was £800 which I turned down. You offered me £200 as you said it would cost £600 to £1000 to repair it ( if it’s possible). I turned this £200 down. You asked me if I wanted to buy your Nick smith bathers at asnieres and I said I may be interested, but as it’s a very recent print, I wouldn’t be looking to pay “much more than the £1250 you paid for this, so you’d get a nice quick flip”. I’m unsure how that can be construed that I have been trying to pay less for a print than a print is worth. If I’d have offered £1249.99 then yes that’s a serious no no slap wrist according to your rules, but I said I wouldn’t be wanting to pay (and I quote) “much more than £1250”. That could be £1255; it could be £1339; it could even be £1467. I never actually offered you a figure, so I’m struggling to understand how I’ve offered less than something is worth. Sounds like it’s just sour grapes as you wanted the Van Gogh, but I wouldn’t let you have it for £200.

You crazly valued your damaged print at over 1k and asked if I had any works available, to which I replied if yours is worth 1k what would you pay for these.. 🤣 (knowing the crazy prices you ask for Nicks work on ebay)

Nick Smith 🇬🇧 Pixelated Art • Colour Swatches • New Print, by Art Attackkk on Sept 27, 2024 7:01:46 GMT 1, You sent me some photos of your artworks and also listed some others you have by Nick. I thus asked you if any were for sale and you said possibly, but it depends, based on what I’ve put the value of the Van Gogh. So I said I may be interested in the bathers. As per my last post I said I wouldn’t be wanting to pay much more than what you paid as it’s a recent print. I actually offered another member on here £1800 for bathers, as I wasn’t able to pick this up in person at the Woolwich print fair. They were holding out for £2k, so we couldn’t get the deal done. That hardly reeks of flipper does it? If I was willing to pay £1800 for a very recent £1250 print, I’m hardly going to be able to flip that for much more. I wanted to add that to my collection. With regards to eBay, I have two older style glow in the dark prints for sale on eBay for £500 each with offers. Hardly sky high prices I don’t think? Prior to that I had a Marie therese Walter (2018) listed for £1k, a nipple print (2014) for £750 and I also listed Nick’s very first Pantone Marilyn green print (from 2011) for £1500. As all of these are older prints, again this doesn’t really give off flipper vibes does it? This compares with you recently selling a polytheism Jordan sneaker on eBay for which the varnish probably still hasn’t dried. That’s more flippery than a dolphin called flipper, doing somersaults on a trampoline, whilst bellowing “heads or tails”, flipping a coin and saying flippin’ ‘eck that morfx is a right flipper. Anyway, as Nick’s works are clearly in demand, as only a casual look on fair art, artsy or see the numerous galleries around the world with his works for sale; or see that all his recent print runs have sold out very quickly, I’m going to hold onto my substantial bag. As Henners would say…..”Nick Smith to the moon!” . Anyway, now starting work - these Nick Smith prints and originals don’t pay for themselves after all…….. have a great day 😄
