Nick Smith π¬π§ Pixelated Art β’ Colour Swatches β’ New Print, by imare on Apr 15, 2019 19:09:00 GMT 1, ? @ responses. Grabbed a different Smith last week and decided to let this one go to help with the expense.
Factoring in fees and shipping, this is maybe going to get $50 above cost.

And I guess the original artist doesn't have bills to pay...
Oh...and welcome to the forum...

Cost was $347. A bit off on that 50%.. And yes, I would be paying for shipping.
This prevents the artist from paying bills?

Good to see you paying the S&H for the buyer. Dunno if it keeps artists from paying the bills, but the profit should go to the artist. All you did was buy it for a few weeks.
Again...welcome to the forum...any other prints you want to sell?

I know a lot say he is a one-trick pony, but I like his trick. Maybe he will start making atari characters...oh...wait... The people who say that are not aware of his earlier stuff.

Where do you guys come up with this s**t? The artist already got paid the first time it sold, selling it again is doing work the artist didn't do. I'll share the profit from reselling mine if Nick smith lists on his Instagram at my asking price.

Maybe not unknown but it hadnβt been long since you could pick up his prints for Β£120 signed or Β£20 unsigned and it took many years for the secondary market to reach the bonkers levels we see now. It also took some time for the flipping side hustle to develop.
People who missed out on a print that they loved will always feel hostility to people in the game purely profit. I wish that you could block all for sale threads from the feeds, as that way I could just focus on the positive side of this forum.

In my mind 2006 was certainly a step change for Banksy. He was a household name then. Yes, you could pick up prints relatively cheap. Especially, unsigned. I purchased a number and sold quite a few during that time. POW offered nothing if I recall except for the lonnnggg drip of the LA prints and flag, plus the usual laz offerings. The LA show was insane and you could pick up significant works as many were unsold if I recall.

Nick Smith π¬π§ Pixelated Art β’ Colour Swatches β’ New Print, by christiangul on Apr 16, 2019 19:34:27 GMT 1, Dear OP. A little advice before selling art to hard core collectors on this forum is to check ebay. There are unsold ads for this "shoe" for less than you are offering here. After fees the seller of the cheapest on ebay is left with about 352$. That's about cost if you count in shipping.
So you might want to revise this thread. Here's some help to a new thread.
"Dear fellow forumites. I was so lucky to score this work by Nick Smith. Unfortunately my dog won't stop barking and trying to eat this shoe, so I'm reluctantly selling this. Since I don't want to make money on my new friends on this forum, I'm offering this for my cost which was 350$.
Hope this finds a new dog-free home.

They don't need to revise anything, if you don't like price then you're not a buyer. People are free to ask what they would like to ask. It needs not to be based on anything other than what they prefer to ask. Maybe a forum member finds value in avoiding eBay? Maybe there's other reasons the seller can realize this price here and not elsewhere. Maybe it will never sell. But let the person sell in peace, no need to try and guilt them into changing their ask based on the external market data you provide.

Flippers are going to flip and members are going to give them a hard time. How it is, how it was and how it always will be. You see, generally those who defend flippers with the βitβs theirs to do with as they wishβ policy are flippers themselves. As such you can blow hot air as much as you like but ainβt nobody listening. Basically flip on here and youβre going to get sh1t. If youβre too thin skinned to deal with it, go to Ebay. Itβs a forum.
