WTB Yeezy 350 Boost Women's size 5, by msobel3 on Nov 17, 2015 20:49:34 GMT 1, I would avoid craigslist and be very careful using ebay as most pairs sold on both of those sites are fakes. The only answer is to swallow the pill and pay about 1500 for them from a reputable seller. (The smaller sizes are in higher demand than the larger ones) Unfortunately I do not believe that anyone will be able to help out. However if I am wrong, I would love some help as well!!!

I don't see anything wrong with people having original receipts and boxes on hand.
Also my friend went and looked at some of these "deadstock" pairs and I lent him authentic pirate black pair to compare and he said they are identical. Which brings up the questions...a fake that is so good that you can't tell the difference for 400 or an authentic for 1500... both are going go on your feet and you're gonna step in some type of crap sooner or later.

Can you not say the same exact thing about art? A backdoor banksy versus an unsigned print? Why stop there... there are fake Banksy canvases that can be had for a few quid. If the fake was good enough wouldn't we all have Girl With Balloon diptychs up at home?

Art is an investment piece. It an unsigned print had the function of a dart board lets say, then yes you're analogy would work. Because ultimately its going to perish like your shoes are. But art is put up on a wall and displayed and not worn on your feet. Banksys increase in value, (most of the time) and shoes (atleast when worn) do not. So you're analogy doesn't quite work here.
Mind you, there are plenty of people who display backdoor prints or $30 canvases who just enjoy the image and don't care about investment. More so those types of people than the ones that collect the real thing. We just don't see it on the forums.
The reality is, they're shoes...they are dead on copies (actually rumor is they are from the same factory). Just happen to be half or 1/3 of the price. I haven't had to turn to them since I've been able to secure both yeezy 350 boost from a source at retail price, but if I hadn't had that opportunity, I would probably look into these exact copies if I really wanted them.

If you watch that video you will see that sneakers can be considered an investment as well. And like some art, some sneakers can be a damn good one. Just like art market, the sneaker market is very similar in that is simply another unregulated market.
Not all art is investment. Let's be honest here, most art will not hold its value. However, like a Banksy, these sneakers (worn or unworn) will still be worth more than what someone paid for them at retail and will continue to climb in price. And if you're honest you can't tell me the reason my analogy doesn't work because art is an investment. Because if that was all you saw it as, you probably would be putting your money elsewhere... Or you would just be a flipper because that's the most profitable method. The way you say let's be honest they're shoes... Is there any difference when talking about prints? One would have to think that it is easier to copy a print exactly than a pair of shoes. Especially when you get into things like sourcing exactly the same materials and the boost technology.
Lastly, if you would be interested in sharing your ability to acquiring yeezys at retail price I would be most appreciative.

Lastly, if you would be interested in sharing your ability to acquiring yeezys at retail price I would be most appreciative. With all due respect msobel3, I'm probably going to have to make this my last response. It seems that you're not carefully reading my comments and responding with broad statements or altering my comments in order to better suit your argument.
1. I'm extremely familiar with the shoe game and I cash out of it years ago. Well aware that it's a lucrative business. Which in turn means I'm also well aware that sneakers can be a great investment, I never said otherwise. You failed grasp the past where I specifically said "shoes (atleast when worn) do not" when referring to increasing in value. Of course if you're planning on holding on to yeezys as an investment, you should guarantee the authenticity and keep all pertaining paperwork to it's provenance. Your (worn or unworn) statement doesn't hold weight. You gravely mistaken if you think you can buy a pair of authentic yeezys, wear them to death then think it's going to increase in value.
2. You're statement about not all art being an investment. I was specifically responding to you when compared to Banksys. Not "all" art.
3. I'm not going to go into the difference between art that is numbered/signed (canvas, print, or otherwise) vs sneakers. Your analogy was specifically between banksy & yeezys, now you're trying to generalize with art vs sneakers. That's a discussion that I have zero interest in getting into sorry.
4.When a shoe is made in China, it is much easier to tap into the manufacturing plant and pull unauthorized pairs because that's how China manufacturing works. Money talks over legal documents. If Banksy prints were made in China, you better believe the market would be flooded with exact copies. You saw it with Kaws and it spreads over many industries that outsourced to Asia for manufacturing purposes. C&D pretty much can be thrown out of a plane at this point...it doesn't phase them.
5. My ability to acquire yeezys at retail pricing, although will be zero help to you, results from being born and raised in Los Angeles and having long time relationships with people in the music/fashion/entertainment industries.
I'm going to have to politely bow out now.

This spans over many industries. Tool's Maynard has openly bagged on his fan's...people still have a cult following and buy his music. As you a Tool fan?
If you look back at history, it's usually the biggest assholes that have the biggest following. If I had to guess, we have so many products and services that we use or promote on a daily basis that were somehow created by men and women that are much more egotistical than Kanye.

Point taken rebelate , but the possibility of someone being a complete egotistical ass and one boasting and broadcasting it every chance they get are two completely different things. If Banksy did a fraction of the stunts this ass has pulled off I would have been turned off from his work and I think many others would as well. Can you imagine Banksy or another artist broadcasting they are "God's gift" and the best artist in the world at every media opportunity, only then to jump up and grab awards away from other artists they deemed undeserving at ceremonies.
I believe it is only that he is in the "HipHop" genre that people give him a pass and then are just blinded by the collectivity of Nike shoes in general. I collect them as well and have for many years. I do it just to wear them and enjoy having unique looking rare designs but for me anything form this guy is an easy pass. I couldn't consciously wear them and feel ok about it, no matter how expensive the secondary market was or how hard they are to get. Just an opinion and why I love these boards. If it was a sales thread I would have kept silent

WTB Yeezy 350 Boost Women's size 5, by msobel3 on Nov 17, 2015 23:49:08 GMT 1, rebelate I agree that shoes are supposed to be worn and art (or Banksy's) is supposed to hang on the wall and increase in value. However, the feeling that I have gotten from most of the people on this forum is that they are not strictly acting as investors. I guess where I disagree with you is that I believe a fake is a fake. If I wouldn't buy fake art why buy fake shoes? And obviously you feel differently. But I digress.

That is why I would caution you to only deal with trusted sources if you are interested in an authentic pair. If you don't mind fakes there are MANY to be had.

However when it comes to an unauthorized pair, it's a gray area because it's not a "fake". It's just basically made after hours with the same materials/process that the authentic ones were made in and sold out the back door instead of the front. My friend couldn't find a single stitch off when comparing my authentic to the unauthentic one he was purchasing. And if you're looking to wear them and enjoy them, I really don't see a difference because they're both going to end up in the trash sooner or later anyway.

My friend couldn't find a single stitch off when comparing my authentic to the unauthentic one he was purchasing. And if you're looking to wear them and enjoy them, I really don't see a difference because they're both going to end up in the trash sooner or later anyway. At least it does not line Mr West pockets either.... I had to google these as I had never seen them all I can say is Hype and what horrible shoes :-)

WTB Yeezy 350 Boost Women's size 5, by Trevorm on Nov 18, 2015 11:56:31 GMT 1, Managed to get a pair for the Mrs. Brilliant price too, considering they're 'legit.
UK size 13 - she'll have to pack 'em out a bit, but that's the price of fashion innit?

However I would probably suggest going to see them in person first before purchasing like my friend did. GL!

WTB Yeezy 350 Boost Women's size 5, by coller on Nov 19, 2015 7:34:01 GMT 1, haha this stuff really ends up everywhere, crazy.
you don't need to pay 1500; you can get it for probably 1000 on grailed - that's a good site, but make sure you get receipts and tagged pictures. the fakes on these aren't good yet so they'll be relatively easy to spot.
i lucked out and got a pair in my size for retail. if anyone has extras, PM me and we can talk.
still laughing that people are trading these on here.

WTB Yeezy 350 Boost Women's size 5, by curiousgeorge on Nov 21, 2015 5:55:08 GMT 1, I can source legit ones on the secondary at non ebay prices. Afraid to say the size will come with a premium though. I must've had 20 pairs in various baskets and couldn't complete my order on 1 pair. Joked to a friend that it's easier to cop a Banksy print online.
Worth bearing in mind lots more stock will be arriving with hype beasts over the next few days and prices may dip a little. Also plenty more colourways coming, I can't understand releasing the lighter shades in these wet months
