Thoughts exactly. Seen the peanuts canvases in person and they're fantastic. The white space on these will look extremely tacky imo. I'll stick with my YSKIK  .
That and I really only like the 3rd image in the set.

It's a shame they're not cutouts in my opinion though. (Though is it confirmed they're not? They seem to be signed on top of the colour parts.) It would have made for some really unique prints and framing.
That being said, do I like them enough to spend $15K+ on them? Nope. Super nope.

Pace shouldn't be thought of as a printing house so much as an investment firm. They manufacture investments for the rich. They then allow the little people to feed on the leftovers should there be any and should those peons have the privilege and the means to purchase.

So opinion will be all over the map on this release. I'm a big KAWS fan, have seen his assorted gallery and museum shows, have sold some of his early toys for great profit. To me these seem like a mashup of Leroy Neiman and late career Peter Max. But that's just my opinion. But the image works better framed than the instagram pic. I'm waiting for his Looney Tunes period.

KAWS is now considered a legitimate fine artist. His original paintings are collected by the same people who collect more traditional artists. So, yes there are definitely more than 250 "rich people" who like KAWS.
