Why no new Bast prints?, by alexmcm on Nov 19, 2015 18:20:14 GMT 1, Just wondered if anybody knew why there had been so few print releases over the last couple of years? The Instagram feed is amazing and he's obviously as prolific as ever - but no prints... Or have I just not been paying attention?

Yesterday, someone (NOT ME) put up some rare Bast on the Bay - a few originals, a print, and a sculpture. I've been looking for an affordable OG for a while; the prices were in line, but the images didn't do it for me.
But I agree - his IG feed is insane. This one killed me (hope these links work):

But otherwise, I see more unique works on his instagram and I think they are selling well through galleries and private placement. The reason I think that it is going well is that I wanted to buy another unique work on paper but now those start at $4k.
Someone did post a pretty nice collection of originals for sale on eBay. I saw that one already sold.

I saw that one already sold. Where are you finding the unique works on paper? Firestone? I saw a few of the pieces but was trying to go in a different direction than what they had. And the last few he did make - Untitled (NY Face), Pinocchio Iguana, Straphanger, Dalston Unitooth, Stumpy Gun, Aeroflot, Humpty, Boof-Fonty, etc. - didn't exactly set the world on fire. His peak probably was around summer 2011, when he released La Benzo, Cafe Popeye, Piggy, Dope Drop, YSL, Finster, etc. all in the same month!
