yesterday was private view, didn't get a chance to make it
Definitely plan to go and hoping they aren't playing the "keep moving" game like Dismaland so a proper peruse can be had this time...
Will take some pictures if I can

New James Cauty Jam Jars Edition, by Schrödinger's Chat on Nov 20, 2015 20:40:05 GMT 1, I think I read on the invite that they guarantee a 30 minute time slot for viewing.

New James Cauty Jam Jars Edition, by mojo on Nov 20, 2015 21:32:47 GMT 1, Even if you got to see The Aftermath Displacement Principal at Dismaland it's definitely worth taking a peep again .......New Bedford Rising, a Post Dislocation Paradise, is actually being created on site during the show so now there's even more tiny magnificence to witness. The private view was excellent, with the exception of Dismaland this is the best show I've seen in a very long time.

I have no problem uploading to anywhere else .....just here! Shame really since it's all about art innit.

New James Cauty Jam Jars Edition, by Schrödinger's Chat on Nov 25, 2015 16:43:08 GMT 1, Returned today, really enjoyed having a good look around, and as an added bonus Jimmy was there for a chat.
Unlike Dismaland there is no time limit and no people most of the time, it's just hidden down a side street in Southwark in a lock up. The other difference is currently it is surrounded by sheeting with eye holes, which are great for focusing your attention to certain scenes and totally mess with your perspective.
The new pieces are being built in front of you by a group of volunteers, which is fun to watch.
They were just completing the policeman with the smiley shields for the latest jar edition.
Everyone was really chatty and it had a nice atmosphere, I would well recommend popping by.

New James Cauty Jam Jars Edition, by razorwire on Dec 3, 2015 11:34:35 GMT 1, I'm off to see this today and can't wait, really looking forward to a less hurried viewing that at Dismaland. I hope Jimmy isn't there when I visit - I've been a bit of a Cauty fanboy for the last 25 years since my KLF obsessed youth so I'll only make a massive tool of myself telling him how "I f**king loves you I do, Jimmy" after I've had a few cans on the train up.
Any recommendations for anything else to see that's not far from there? I had planned to go to the Soviet X-ray thing at the Horse Hospital (about the Cold War era bootleg records pressed on old x-ray film to bypass state censorship) but don't think I'll get there in time. Anything else in that area that'll be open at 6pm? I've been to the Tate Modern loads recently so ideally looking for something different.

New James Cauty Jam Jars Edition, by razorwire on Dec 4, 2015 11:07:11 GMT 1, Thoroughly enjoyed my visit there yesterday, and as others have said although it seems slightly odd at first I think the setup now with the little holes to look through really improves it as it forces you to focus on specific sections. As a result there was loads of little details I picked up this time that I missed first time around at Dismaland. Jimmy was very friendly and chatty too, and it was nice to be able to take my time viewing it all unlike the rather more hectic bustle of Dismaland where they wanted to keep people moving (there was only one other visitor there when I arrived around 4pm).
