In response to posterbobโs comment above the print is listed for a friend and I am aware someone had said they could help them sell it. Rest assured the sale is genuine and there is no untoward behaviour here at all. I have references if required and the print can be collected in person

A reasonable comment, but it does require making an assumptive leap: that the girl let go of the balloon unintentionally, maybe because the wind blew it out of her hand.
An alternative reading (which adds to the ambiguity and strength of the image) is the girl having willingly released the heart-shaped red balloon into the sky โ having symbolically set it free.
