I will put it on ebay tonight with no reserve and a 99p start so we can see how much they are worth, i would of thought a good few hundreds than what you are offering though mate.

Nick Walker TMA London , by kahuna on Mar 18, 2008 20:56:15 GMT 1, Purchased the $5,900 print which was less than the three previous Ebay sales that ranged from $10k to $7k
Now that the market is being flooded with these prints, guessing the price is likely to drop further. For me, the print is for enjoyment and not speculation. Just hope to supplement my Walker collection with some more reasonably priced acquisitions in the future.

Nick Walker TMA London , by Cocteau 101 on Mar 18, 2008 20:59:33 GMT 1, Wouldn't say the market is being flooded - it's a fairly low number of prints and these will find their own level in the next month or so - I can see around £3.5k if not more being the norm. Micallefs 21stCL demands above this and this is a print of similar quality and stature.

Alsabar I agree that the two can't be compared. TMA London is much better and involves the viewer much better. 21stCL looks like a mess by a small child with names cut out of a magazine.

Nick Walker TMA London , by kahuna on Mar 18, 2008 23:00:22 GMT 1, Bonhams may have contributed to the sharp increase in the price of London TMA because it brought Nick Walker to the attention of a wider audience.
London TMA is a print that can be displayed anywhere by almost anyone (unlike David Choe's Pizz 2), with no complaints from 'er indoors.
The potential buyer audience is huge. Combined with the fact that the image depicts such an iconic scene , I believe current resale values can be maintained and there is huge potential upside if the price of Nick' originals continue to increase.
As an expat living in the USA, this print is a reminder of the quirky humour that I miss from home and that is why I purchased it.

not exactly true, any non brit or brit , who has never been to london, wont get the same feeling about this print, to any Londoner or person who lived/s in London.
Its a nice image, in as much as that it is pleasing to the eye, but then again so is Bristol and Hollywood, so why arent these going for the same prices? I tell you why, because, London was grossly overpriced after Bonhams, because the AP sold there. In the coming weeks, as more of Nicks' prints hit the market,s people will have more choice, and as a result these prices will drop even more.
So if someone offers your anything over £2K for it, take it. This is as I said earlier, is worth no more than that

Nick Walker TMA London , by funyoung on Mar 19, 2008 0:10:09 GMT 1, i take that alsababar doesn't own one of these exceptional prints then. let the market decide and i suspect the TMA london will go for way more than hollywood/bristol because he is english so it translates better here and because london has a higher population than bristol with higher disposable income. try looking a little deeper alsababar rather than your superficial views then i might be able to trust your opinions.

Nick Walker TMA London , by alsbabar on Mar 19, 2008 1:03:58 GMT 1, actually funyoung i do own one, bought it at White Noise. i think you will find that cocteau raised the debate comparing this to 21st CL, which i responded to. I have not junked anything for anyone, as I doubt for one minute 1. my statements impact the whole ebay market and 2. people who buy on ebay for those ridiculous prices, are members of this forum, because if they were, they could have bought it cheaper.
So ease and stop the name calling, I have not insulted anyone, so no need for you to do so either.
Good luck Supermick, sell it on ebay and i hope you get a lot more than you want for it.

Before Bonhams, London was typically double the price of Bristol so Bonhams is not the only reason it goes for more.
I'm lucky enough to have both and IMO London is a better print for several reasons including:- "Defacing" the Houses of Parliament, our seat of government is a pretty symbolic image. Houses of Parliament is more recognisable than Bristol to just about everyone. BRP printing of London is way better than whoever did Bristol. London is a bigger print
If my house was on fire the first print I would save would be London TMA. Before my Banksy's, Dennings, D*Faces or other Nick Walkers! That about sums it up

Nick Walker TMA London , by aginghippie on Mar 19, 2008 5:01:32 GMT 1, As an expat in the US this is the first print I have had that the locals as opposed to the expats have wanted. I could have sold mine a dozen times already. The imagery is fantastic, the quality is spot on, and it's wall friendly. Can't go wrong.
The only thing that would sell better over here would be the Empire's State print.

Ease off the character assassination. If you bothered to read the thread, as it looks like you havent, i responded both to Cocteau1 and Funyougs comments about this thread. Just because I dont agree on Supermicks valuation, doesnt mean I am slating the guy- why dont you just get off that high f**king rocking horse that you so often sit on and ask Supermick in PM before trashing me or anyone.
alsabar you always write with such a chip on your shoulder mate.

Nick Walker TMA London , by graeme501 on Mar 19, 2008 10:19:05 GMT 1, i think its unfair to say 'this piece is worth £1k less than what ur asking' at the start of the post when u are basing it on ur own opinion
this can mislead some people who may have purchased or gave them doubts
if it was based on ebay or previous forum sales then fair enough, but this guy selling doesnt deserve this as his price is more than fair

Nick Walker TMA London , by mcnuts on Mar 19, 2008 10:30:03 GMT 1, no chip on my shoulder with my last statement, just plain facts, its easy mcnuts to just bash people, and pud has been doing alot of it lately. Because i dont agree with statements, i shouldnt express my opinion? If you re-read this thread, it was a nice discussion about the merits of this piece, that is all, I didnt insult anyone even if i dont agree with them, i made no disparaging remarks about their character or their choices, nor do i make my comments personal - so i dont see why I should accept puds opinion of me. If he wants, which i doubt, he could simply PM me or when he has the next opportunity, rather than taking this thread to another level!!! then again i dont think many people will bother to read this post either, they will just simply jump on the bandwagon, as usual
fair enough. just always seems to be fire in your belly is all. I have that too but its from the sketchy curry i made last night.
