Pali ERZ - Solo Exhibition , by Wearology on Nov 28, 2015 16:19:17 GMT 1, Looks a lot like the artist Cheba / Cheo. IMO a little too much.

Pali ERZ - Solo Exhibition , by 11 on Nov 28, 2015 23:19:05 GMT 1, Whats happened to his name then? I know him as Parlee-Erz but do remember him telling me that most people he met pronounced it 'Parlay' like he was a bit posh....so maybe he just got sick of the mispronunciation.
I do like artists that introduce figures and characters into their work and Parlee has a great style, the characters he has created are instantly recognisable as his. As said there are some similarities but i think i would easily distinguish between the two. Met him at the start of the summer when he was putting a few pieces up and he did a sketch for my daughter so he gets our vote

Pali ERZ - Solo Exhibition , by Feral Things on Nov 29, 2015 0:16:24 GMT 1, Maybe Feral Things could add to the background for Cheo. P.S. IMHO Cheba's work is very different. Cheo started painting in 1984 and was a regular at the Barton Hill Dugout back then; the top photo below is from when the Dugout got, what is now, a rare repaint back in 2009.ย Cheo's painting with Shade1 SOP and Jody but it's worth mentioning the CKOne tag in the background - RIP.ย Anyway, Cheo came second with Inkie in the World Graffiti Championships back in 1989 so like Pali he's been around for a long time.ย Personally, I'd be surprised if either were influenced by each other.ย I think it's more likely that as with many other writers who were painting back in the early 1980s, including the likes of Dondi, they were being influenced by the work of Vaughn Bodฤ - I think @niceguyg has alluded to this in his post. Cheo has painted and exhibited with Vaughn's son Mark and the collaboration with Boswell on the left is obviously a tribute to Vaughn Bodฤ's work but I think both have just taken Bodฤ's work as a starting point and gone on to do their own things.
Cheba's earlier work from c.2002 used spherical headed characters too but personally I think they've got a pretty different vibe to Pali's work:
