Donald Trump, by Deleted on Nov 23, 2018 11:20:41 GMT 1, Yes, blasphemy is absolutely fine. It is showing lack of reverence to someone's beliefs. Why shouldn't people do that? In fact, I would go further and say it should be compulsory. All beliefs should be challenged and if found to be wanting then it is the duty of right-minded people to speak out against them. I think saying some things are fine as it's a turn of phrase to use it to insult people on purpose just to get a response maybe not so fine Quick question, how would you challenge faith? Insulting a faith and insulting people are two different things. I try and be nice to all people, including Christians and Muslims, but I don't feel that means I should smile sweetly about their belief systems and say "that's nice". If someone says they believe in magical beings and invisible lands in the sky then I will laugh and say I think that's superstitious nonsense and that there is no evidence to support such beliefs. If someone asks me why I am an atheist, I will normally say because there is no evidence to the contrary. Or, if I am feeling cheeky, I will simply say "...because I am an adult".

Don’t wanna pull your leg... but I will 😊: the only belief you can support with the observable reality is being agnostic - formally, we can neither prove nor disprove any of the mystical hocus pocus. Basically, being an atheist means being a believer (in the sense of believing in an unverifiable truth). But probably I don’t make any sense (I’m taking a break from working on proving a theorem, so I’m clearly brain damaged at the moment).

The evidence suggests that God does not exist; not that maybe he does and maybe he doesn't. There is no evidence for God's existence, none whatsoever.

Donald Trump, by lorraballs on Nov 24, 2018 0:11:15 GMT 1, Additionally, if you posit an argument it is up to you to provide evidence. For instance, if you allege unicorns exist, it is up to you to provide evidence they exist, not mine to prove they do not. The burden of proof falls on the party that makes the claim. I don’t mean to sound cunty but this is pretty basic stuff. Good luck with the theorem. Took 358 years to prove Fermat’s.

The metaphysical is not falsifiable. That’s why religion is not science.
Inference and (rational) judgements are based on our posterior knowledge - i.e. the knowledge that combines our prior beliefs with the reality/data we observe. As enough informative data are collected, unless one has a so called dogmatic prior (e.g. one is just a racist), the data always dominates the prior eventually, and hence becomes the base of our knowledge.
The problem with metaphysics is that the data are uninformative, hence the posterior belief is simply your prior - there is no learning to be had. I.e. if you a priori believe/don’t believe in the metaphysical, even after observing reality you will still be stuck with your prior belief.
Obviously, one can “test” a particular formulation of the divine - e.g. run the test of “I shall be incinerated now, otherwise no god exists.” That would be a valid test, but only of your very own particular formulation of god (in this case a bored one that doesn’t have anything better to do but incinerate people). But that test would obviously not be valid for an alternative formulation of the divine.
That’s the reason why all religions that I know of have developed at some point the concept of epiphany - hence broken the mechanics of learning from prior to posterior in religious matters (and cleverly removed the burden of the proof).
Personally, when I believe I’m an atheist. But when I don’t, I’m an agnostic.
Btw, the religious holy book that makes the most sense (I mean it) is “The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.” Highly recommended: books.google.co.uk/books/about/The_Gospel_of_the_Flying_Spaghetti_Monst.html?id=NPxzQcet7qkC&printsec=frontcover&source=kp_read_button&redir_esc=y

Atheism is as much as a believe as theism, one believes that God does not exist, one believes that God does exist. You are refering to Agnosticism, a view where you state 'it's unknowable'. You are actually using the word "believe" in two different ways here. A Christian 'believes' means he/she takes it on trust that x exists. When an atheist 'believes' god does not exist that is more of an assertion rather than a belief. You can't have a non-belief in something that has never existed. No one goes around these days saying they are an atheist regarding Thor or Osiris or Wotan. I am sure it is only a matter of time before the Christian god joins all the other no-longer-considered gods.

Donald Trump, by moron on Nov 24, 2018 13:21:33 GMT 1, An academic consensus means nothing in the real world. Okey... why should we trust the ones that actually study the phenoma, do field work, have access to tons of data, look at them without prejudice, and whose works and conclusions are thoroughly screened by thousands of other researchers, when we can instead rely on the plain racist prejudice of moron ... I wish you good health, so that you won’t need to rely on your own medical expertise (albeit some would call that applied Darwinism). I try to be as factual as possible. You ignore facts when it suits or was it a genuine mistake when you posted about Polish concentration camps instead of the factual German concentration camps in Poland in another thread.
Thousands of other researchers depends on who these people are and their own political agenda.
Xenophobia is a term used to describe people who the left use to deflect from valid points made and is a similar ruse to them using the word nazi or far right or just hurling insults. It's a very old tactic by the left and when that tactic does not work, the left use violence.
It's all been done before by bolsheviks and trotskyists who create division and chaos and use their thugs and then seize political control. The same agenda is being followed today by the EU and by the left in politics in Europe and also by the Democrats in the US. Attack, insult, use violence and ignore the law when it suits them in order to allow in illegal immigrants and allow illegal immigrants to vote because these politicians from the US and Europe are power mad and out of touch with reality.
Would you say that Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a xenophobe because of what he says about islam and comparing the large number of Jewish Nobel prize winners over the years with the very very small number of muslim Nobel Prize winners?
Do you find him comparing different nations cultures as racism?
Would you say that Israel giving birth control to African and Ethiopian Jewish women is racist or xenophobic?
www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/israel-gave-birth-control-to-ethiopian-jews-without-their-consent-8468800.html
It is very easy to ignore real racism and accuse people in Europe who care about not letting criminals into their countries and communities as racist and far right. Only the criminally minded support letting in unvetted migrants in huge numbers.
If you ever thought about why so few women and so few Christians have been coming across in migrant boats and via other routes into Europe. It could have something to do with the fact that migrant women have been raped and murdered en route by males and women dare make the journey into Europe amongst the men who pose a real danger en route.
This rhetoric is allowed in Europe by men who support stoning women who have committed adultery, (according to the men) It should be illegal and the people in Europe who support this barbarism should be kicked out and not pandered to. They are all liars who use their i'm a muslim and it's my religious and cultural belied to con stupid bleeding heart white liberals who fall for their bulls**t. Islam adds nothing to Europeans or European culture and democracy. Muslims are not a race. If muslims are a race then there would also be Jewish and Christian muslims and there are none. They are nothing more than a voting bloc that the left has made a deal with in exchange for allowing their so called sharia culture free reign in Europe.
History will repeat itself.
I do not believe in or support a caste system which is being introduced into Europe.
In the book, A Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, there is a charcter mentioned who has the name "Adolph Rockefeller" The book is fiction just as is the book 1984 and many writers have used fiction to get their political observations across without being sent to the gulag. (Which is what is happening today with social media mainly Twitter banning people who do not post left wing rhetoric)
A book by Hannah Arendt called "The Origins of Totalitarianism (1951)" is worth reading.
From wiki.
"Arendt wrote works on intellectual history as a philosopher, using events and actions to develop insights into contemporary totalitarian movements and the threat to human freedom presented by scientific abstraction and bourgeois morality."

(Which is what is happening today with social media mainly Twitter banning people who do not post left wing rhetoric) A book by Hannah Arendt called "The Origins of Totalitarianism (1951)" is worth reading. From wiki. "Arendt wrote works on intellectual history as a philosopher, using events and actions to develop insights into contemporary totalitarian movements and the threat to human freedom presented by scientific abstraction and bourgeois morality."

You are just a delusional islamophobic racist. Hence not worth engaging with. Buzz off please.
Okey... why should we trust the ones that actually study the phenoma, do field work, have access to tons of data, look at them without prejudice, and whose works and conclusions are thoroughly screened by thousands of other researchers, when we can instead rely on the plain racist prejudice of moron ... Xenophobia is a term used to describe people who the left use to deflect from valid points made and is a similar ruse to them suing the word nazi or far right or just hurling insults. Would you say that Israel giving birth control to African and Ethiopian Jewish women is racist or xenophobic? www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/israel-gave-birth-control-to-ethiopian-jews-without-their-consent-8468800.html It is very easy to ignore real racism and accuse people in Europe who care about not letting criminals into their countries and communities as racist and far right. Donald Trump, by moron on Nov 24, 2018 13:44:22 GMT 1, Atheism is as much as a believe as theism, one believes that God does not exist, one believes that God does exist. I'm an atheist and I know that god (as described by religious cults etc) does not exist. I also know that all religions are made up BS and that all the prophets should have kept their mouths shut for the sake of human kind.
I also know that for Christians, any prophet who is anti Christian is the anti Christ.
I wonder which prophet that could be that came after the death of Jesus?

Donald Trump, by lorraballs on Nov 24, 2018 21:40:18 GMT 1, Strictly speaking they are incorrect. Atheism is not a belief. Theism is a belief in gods. Atheism is a lack of belief. Atheism is as much as a believe as theism, one believes that God does not exist, one believes that God does exist. You are refering to Agnosticism, a view where you state 'it's unknowable'. No

Donald Trump, by lorraballs on Nov 24, 2018 21:48:06 GMT 1, Additionally, if you posit an argument it is up to you to provide evidence. For instance, if you allege unicorns exist, it is up to you to provide evidence they exist, not mine to prove they do not. The burden of proof falls on the party that makes the claim. I don’t mean to sound cu nty but this is pretty basic stuff. Btw, the religious holy book that makes the most sense (I mean it) is “The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.” Highly recommended: books.google.co.uk/books/about/The_Gospel_of_the_Flying_Spaghetti_Monst.html?id=NPxzQcet7qkC&printsec=frontcover&source=kp_read_button&redir_esc=y You have any number of non sequiturs in there. You probably know that. Epiphany is construct of Theism. Deism involves no such event. Both are religious frameworks. They contradict each other. Who’d of thought it? Eeeenyhow, tell me about those unicorns...

Donald Trump, by moron on Nov 26, 2018 14:09:54 GMT 1, yeah man we get it you hate foreigners especially ones from the middle east who aren't christians you are a hate filled little xenophobe and your hate is not wanted here go back to twitter oh you can't because you got banned for being a racist You clearly cannot read and resort to slandering me and making up lies about me when in reality it is you who is full of hate. So Leo I suggest you stick to making prints of your version of Bleks television head stencil art and that is better for you than exposing yourself as a liar.
I have clearly stated that I don't care where people come from or their origins and regarding the mass migration into Europe, that all migrants should be vetted before allowing immigration status.
The people who got into Spain from Africa and threw bottles of acid and caustic liquid on the Spanish police are criminals and should have not been allowed in. You interpret this as racism because basically you do not like the truth and you are probably another one of these virtue signalers who in reality is a hypocrit.
The violent attacks by recent migrants on people in Europe have been targeted against women and against mainly European people. Why is that Leo? Maybe you can explain the reason behind these attacks.
There again it doesn't bother you because you are so far up your own virtual signalling backside that it would be racist to not let them in because they are from Africa.
Surely it is better to vet migrants who arrive in Europe. The politicians and the government have a responsibility to keep people safe.
I'm atheist so don't care if people are Christians or any other religion. The ones from the middle east who are genuine refugees and enter a country legally and apply for immigration status I have absolutely no problem with. I have friends who are middle eastern and also muslim and they are of the same opinion. They do not want sharia law imposed on them in Europe as they prefer the freedom of choice they have in Europe.
The difference between me and you Leo is i'm not a hypocrit and I think for myself. You pander to virtual signalling because as we all know, it helps to sell art.
I do not see people as foreigners, that is probably closer to how your mind works than mine. I see people as people and regardless of where they come from.
My view about migrants is that the people who migrate to another country for whatever reason and have a moral obligation to the country they move to should be welcomed. The country they move to as in European countries help many migrants including with housing and financial support and it's normal to expect them to contribute to society in a positive way in return.
So stick to your art as you clearly do not know what a xenophobe is and you clearly do not car about allowing in potential criminals and jihadists with no vetting.
I'm anti racism and pro secular government and law where everyone is equal and abides by one law for all.
The German government has recently made a ruling that it will deport people who commit rape because they see women as having no value and inferior. So it does look like European governments are seeing the problem and addressing it and because you are such a huge anti racist then you have to agree that racists and mysoginists should not be allowed in. Otherwise that makes you a racist too.

Otherwise that makes you a racist too. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racism_in_the_Arab_world"The outrageous racism that 'graced' Arab TV screens in Ramadan
