If you had 12k, would you put it towards three quality unsigned Banksys or one quality signed?
I'm just weighing up the pros and cons of owning three of my favourite works or one supreme signed work.

Three carefully selected images framed up well would make a huge impact on a wall. Much more than the impact of a tiny signature that disappears from view at a few paces back.

Advice: Three unsigned Banksy or one signed?, by Cornish Crayon on Dec 11, 2015 12:43:11 GMT 1, Interesting that nobody has mentioned the images (bubble exempt) there seems to be a focus on the signature including from the OP if you want a picture on the wall get the fakes from WCP save the rest like lonely farmer, if on the other hand you are asking this question then you obviously want the forum to tell you where is best to invest your 12k in which case you've already answered this yourself but your seeking clarification just in case the market changes, personally and I know 87% of the members on here will agree, if you like the image buy it, you must have an idea anyway with 12k to blow on a pieces of paper

Given the size of that print that is clearly the largest amount of Banksy paper you can get per pound spent.
Now that is a sound investment, surprised non of y'all art savvy tycoons have figured this out yet.

Ah that's just my poor choice of words. By quality I was talking about the images by Banksy I really love, Turf War, I Fought the Law, Morons, Victoria etc; what I visually enjoy, not necessarily what the consensus deem the best or most rare.

hahaha, i'm all about experiences not goods. I did the WC in Brazil last year, just came back from 6 weeks in Thailand and I'm currently in Iceland taking my Dad to see the Northern lights!
I've always wanted to own a few Banksys as he is one of my favourite artists. I figure now is the time to buy as unless something crazy happens, they just aren't going to get any cheaper.

Thanks for the input.
I've collected many things for a long time and was always brought up that you should 'collect the best you can afford'. In terms of longevity for the collection, is it not better to pay more now and potentially reap more ten years down the line if I was so inclined?
If it was just a wall filler, I'd definitely buy the fakes. It's just nice to know when you collect something, it could be worth more down the line (then again it could also depreciate - but I do believe Banksy is the voice so to speak of our time).

All the Signed prints will go into collections over time and may not see the light of day, which will slowly leave only the unsigned to be snapped up these then slowly go in to collections meaning that the price of them becomes more valuable ............... If it doesnt you will have 3 great prints on your wall ............ but id be putting 12k elsewhere than into any banksys U/S or Signed!
