Help - auction won but no contact/pay from winner, by spirit on Mar 20, 2008 13:33:59 GMT 1, I sold an item on ebay a few days ago but I have had no contact or payment from the person that won it.
I have sent him an invoice and followed that up with a couple of mails asking him to get in touch - still nothing.
He has 11 feedback - all positive except the last one which said he won an auction but did not pay or make contact - sounds familiar...
This has not happened to me before so I was just wondering what the reasonable course of action is. My auction clearly stated that payment was required within 72 hours.
Do I report him to ebay as a non paying bidder immediately after this deadline expires or give him some more time? What will ebay do when I report him? will they remind him we have a contract and ask him to pay?
If I leave negative feedback due to his non contact/payment will he have an opportunity to sabotage my current 100% feedback record?

you can extract his/her phone number from ebay and
call him/her up.
i had a call one day from someone i bought something from - to say i was most surprised was an understatement.

if it doesn't
on ebay select
advanced search
then on the left hand side - under members select
find contact information.
here you can put in the person who won the auction along with the auction number
this will only work (understandably) if you have 'a relationship' (as ebay terms it) with the person who's detail you require.
note at this point - the person will be emailed your details - a kind of reciprocal situation -> you request info on A - A get's your info.

The other good news: He has a confirmed paypal address.
The bad news: He wants me to ship it somewhere else as he's going away...
I've said I will only ship to his confirmed paypal and am awaiting his reply...will keep you posted
Providing this works out, what's the best/safest/cheapest way to ship to the US? needs to be tracked etc in a way that paypal will be happy with.
