just bought a dface book did i mugg myself, by silverpalm on Jan 17, 2016 13:31:11 GMT 1, hi everyone im very late to the game where it comes to street art and art
so im coming across prints and books from way back that i love so when it comes to getting a chance to buy them i of course paying big prices
i bought a v a signed dface book with print brand new never opened yesterday for ยฃ220 all in was this a good buy i know its a good buy because i want the print of spidey but could i have go it cheaper else where if i would of held back or is the scene more or less grab while you can as they do not come on the market a lot

Could you of got it cheaper elsewhere, maybe but then there is the waiting and the uncertainty of will one surface. Its a cool print i think its a good buy. Im biased tho as i'm a big fan of D.

Not something often said on this board, but I think you are absolutely spot on.
We have so many savvy investors and cunning financiers on here that I am sure they would disagree as they know better.
But for me buying something I like and that I can afford to have is all that is needed

Yes glad you agree too. I mean don't get me wrong there are situations when some one is clearly trying to rip you off then thats not cool. And being aware of market prices are good to know. But if your wallet and desire are cool with it, then do it!

The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have pieces in my collection that when I tell some of my friends how much I paid, they look at me as if I have lost my mind. If you're not buying for resale then just enjoy it and don't worry if you could have gotten it a little cheaper. You can always make more money. They key is to spend it on things that make you happy. Enjoy your book/print and be happy.

I know that feeling. Some good friends of mine stare at me thinking "you must me joking", when they come at home and check a new sculpture /art work and ask me for the cost. But yes, I enjoy them a lot.
