This canvas is a 48x48 inch square. Is there anything I need to consider before proceeding? I was going to purchase a 48x48 stretchers set, but as I am sure they are not all made equally.

Probably worth buying some small g clamps or clamps to hold the canvas in place.

Take your time and make sure the canvas is lined up correctly with the stretcher.

As long as you work from center outwards and turn to opposite sides everytime you make a staple then its pretty simple.
