Found a signed KAWS toy from Paddle 8, need more suggestions, by insidearchive on Feb 7, 2016 4:34:13 GMT 1, Hello Everyone,
I found a signed kaws clean slate from paddle 8, an online auction. I'm very interested in this piece, does any one can give any suggestions about the price. Right now there's only one bid, I feel it would be a good deal if I spend less than $1000? Please advise me, thank you.
Here is the link

Looks legit, like other ones I have seen, but how does one tell with Kaws?

Found a signed KAWS toy from Paddle 8, need more suggestions, by Happy Shopper on Feb 7, 2016 11:51:05 GMT 1, No guarantees but I'd need receipts from where it was bought, and some proof that whoever got the signature was at an event where Kaws was signing stuff.

These were made for some dept Store in China in a ltd edition with Kaws ?
Do the real ones have the Kaws name on the sole of the foot?
Lots of copies on Aliexpress etc. www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-kaws.html

Found a signed KAWS toy from Paddle 8, need more suggestions, by Inknart on Feb 7, 2016 18:48:32 GMT 1, There is nothing wrong with Paddle8, they're good to deal with for the most part.
If it's the prices you don't like, nobody forces anyone to buy from there. I'm sure if you ended up buying that KAWS piece and it was fake they would refund your purchase. Why don't you send them an email and ask for providence? This is something they typically will provide you when asked.
There are 10 days left in that auction regardless and the price will jump substantially between now and then.
If you're interested in a KAWS piece, maybe source a vinyl Passing Through or Resting Place. Those were the most recent releases and can be found under $1000 each still. Also easier to spot those fakes than a plush.
I would personally stay away from any Plush. They're easy to replicate and they've already flooded the market with really no way to distinguish the fakes from authentic.

Found a signed KAWS toy from Paddle 8, need more suggestions, by alk416 on Feb 8, 2016 20:41:15 GMT 1, I agree w inknart. I know someone who is also on the paddle8 team who I frequently ask to authenticate pieces i buy in private. I would be fairly confident the pieces they sell are all legit.
The only area you have to be careful, is that the seller my send real pictures and send a fake item. But to protect yourself from this I would have paddle8 re-authenticate the piece after you have received it.
This is not my piece I am selling nor have i sold any previously on paddle8.
