KAWS prints for sale , by CREAM on Feb 13, 2016 1:43:40 GMT 1, 3-4k seems reasonable to me. 6k for a print that came out less than 4 months ago with an edition of 250 is getting very optimistic. There are 3-4 on ebay right now sitting unsold for that price for months.

KAWS prints for sale , by Wrxinprogress on Feb 13, 2016 10:49:17 GMT 1, It's no helped this thread YSP sold them for £4200.
The good thing about these recent kaws prints is flippers struggle to make any profit at this price point from source, pace jut ripped people off. Compare that to Sponge bobs were £1000 or less so easy money.
So if you like the print eventually you will probably grab one for around US retail. I agree anywhere north of £4K for YSKIK will be hard to justify on this forum.

I was interested to see that "Presenting the Past" sold for more than "YSNIK". I've always preferred Presenting the Past over YSNIK and not surprised to see it sell for more even though YSNIK was released at a higher price point. Both gorgeous prints I must add, not so keen on the Snoopy prints though.

KAWS prints for sale , by Deleted on Feb 13, 2016 17:46:55 GMT 1, I have been offered the snoopy pace set for $18-20k!! agreed, the pricing in this listing is gallery pricing. Gotta re-evaluate your definition of "gallery pricing". "Primary" which is defined as "Gallery" is Pace's price, which is cost. They are the gallery in this case. Kaws' other "Galleries" are Mary Boone, and Perrotin, who both arent jacking up the price of his prints, but sell their own Kaws works at primary pricing.
Everything else is the secondary market, even if there are supposed "galleries" partaking in the flipping of his works, its still secondary market, or inflated pricing. We all know there are websites and brick and mortar locations that try to make a living from buying low and selling high, but in no way do they represent the artist, only the transaction. Dont support those knuckleheads.
So if you want to buy Kaws works at Primary, start sucking up to Mary Boone, Perrotin and Pace, and dont worry about any others. (sometimes cheapest but most difficult route if you dont have a relationship)
If you want to buy on private sale, come on here or hit another lovely forum, find a dealer that has a link to private sellers, sometimes auction houses will also find private sellers and broker for you. (market value or slightly higher, sometimes lower if seller is desperate)
If you want to bid in auction, whoch is also considered secondary market, you know where to go. (you never know price, could be up or down, dont forget about the premium)
Just some info on terms, it'll make us all look smarter to the institutions.

Seeing this one sold listing is getting so redundant as a suggested price point. There are always good deals to be had if you look hard enough, they don't set CMV. What did the last Paddle 8 YSKIK sell for? Maybe you can reference that auction? That specific listing just probably fell through the cracks for whatever reason. I know if I saw that listing for 3k I would have bought it just for the fact of how far under market value it was, it does happen from time to time.
I don't think the price is too far off, these seem to popping up a lot less frequently and who is to say he should sell it for less than what his actual cost was ? Pace ended the tier on these at $7500.

My post was 3 months ago and that was the most recent sale.
By all means though, keep trying to prop this one up. As an owner, your opinion is heavily biased and it is quite clear that you are acting in self interest.

As an owner who isn't selling? I could care less what this piece sells for, but it seems unfair to tell a seller he is too high when he is asking his cost price. I didn't even realize that post was 3 months old, just noticed this trending in sales and gave my opinion in regards to that specific piece.
