My Hirst (ed.68) for your Banksy, by afroken on Mar 27, 2008 18:16:54 GMT 1, So, I've managed to get a Jose Parla by other means (very very pleased ;D) but now have nowhere to hang this Damien Hirst.
Given that I've achieved my objective, I'm more open to other swaps now. I'm looking to swap this for a signed Banksy. I'm not expecting this to be a fair swap for a really early one, but I wouldn't do a straight swap for a LA or more recent print either - so something in between please! Open to all offers as I'm a bit Banksy-poor 
I may be tempted by a really good Neate street piece too.

Ha! I'm in self-imposed exile as far as getting involved in discussions is concerned, after a brief period of being banned. This is the best place to sell, buy and trade though so no avoiding it in that sense. I'm not sure what that says about the forum

Although I have 4 productive conversations on the go that may result in a deal, I've also had a lot of PMs from people who must either think I'm stupid or be stupid themselves. I think most people know their stuff on here and this is definitely the wrong forum if you think you're going to pull a fast one and walk away with a one-sided deal.
Your opinion on the print is your opinion. It's not everyone's cup of tea. But lets face it, I'm trying to trade a Hirst for a Banksy on a Banksy forum. I don't normally like to bump too much, but likewise I don't want to miss the few people on here for whom owning a top quality etching from a top A-list artist might just be question of a swap for a print that they paid £150 for a couple of years ago. That's a good opportunity for the right person.

Yeah, he signed this particular one with 2 pencils in 1 hand at the same time, so it's a double signature. And he scrawled his name into the plate, but wrote it backwards to print it forwards obviously. Very nice touch. I'll try to post more detailed photos tomorrow.
