Strangely there are connections between the two, although I won't go into that here.
I have been in conversation with both sellers, although neither as yet have amended accordingly or cancelled their auctions.
The seller of the street piece has been informed the artist has accredited the work as a fake but seems to be selling it on behalf of a collector. Could just be a case of not knowing/checking facts before purchasing or buying in good faith. Just another cautionary tale for checking provenance before buying.

I remember the one and only time he answered an inquiry I submitted via his website (one of too many to count). I had asked about the availability of a funny A-Rod themed one-off on his Instagram feed. He replied something to the effect of "sorry man, better luck next time". I couldn't believe he wrote back. I was on the moon for days. |

He was going to sell it to me for $300. Said both past bidders were not real bidders. Surprised ebay let this fly I thought they monitor messages between clients and I'm sure others have backed out. Ebay should be aware of him as others have previously backed out I'm sure but am I putting too much faith in fleabay? The signature was trash.

The piece was listed incorrectly, but ultimately he should have done his homework beforehand.
The street piece from the American seller is another matter and is the one that should be concentrated on here. I can't believe eBay don't seem to do anything nowadays when you report a listing.
