For Sale: Dface + extras / Dolk / K-Guy / James Cauty / V&A Bowie, by jac on Mar 9, 2016 18:27:00 GMT 1, ***UPDATE*** The Changing Faces of Bowie print has now sold and i also sold a Dface Tenner, still another available tho
Ok so I’m having bit of a sell up as of late. Im happy to meet up for a trade and i’m London based, I also drive to Brighton quite regularly so happy to meet else where. I can also post globally at buyers cost.
DFace A-Hole - This was made before the POW edition and was purchased directly from Dface himself, IMO i prefer this to the POW edition as it was earlier and it is in-fact ever so slightly larger in size. DFace also hand numbered these ones differently.
500mm X 800mm Good Condition 11/50
Text from the DFace site from 2006 “Limited Edition of 50. Screen print, in black gloss ink with spray paint fill. All hand produced. Signed and numbered.”
The print is currently stored flat in an acid free portfolio and this can be included with the sale if i am not posting.
I also have a few DFace bits and bobs floating around. A weird one to price so if some one wants to make a good offer on the A Hole then i can include them in the sale. I am also happy to sell them on own.
Hand signed playing cards from the Eyecons exhibition 9 years ago. D Face Tenner and the Eyecons show card.
Dolk - Burger King Good Condition 169/250 £1100 I am the original purchaser from POW in 2006 Again the print is currently stored flat in an acid free portfolio. This is included within the sale if i am meeting face to face.
K-Guy - Tr * ash Vanity (blue) Good Condition 10/25 £350 700mm X 1000mm Purchased directly in 2007, this is the large version of this print. Please note its big!
James Cauty signed uncut stamps These are from his show ’The Rize & Fall of the Portslade Massif’ in 2007. I will also include three show cards.
V&A Bowie print - The Changing Faces of Bowie Dimensions: 500x500mm 240gsm Mirri paper The print comes with a certificate and a full list of contributors.
Then there is the Bowie print, quite reluctant to part ways with this but needs must. The print was released at the V&A David Bowie is show. Its printed with white ink over mirri paper which looks amazing in real life and photos do not do this justice. i have attached some videos in the dropbox link at the bottom of this post.
“A hundred and one artists and designers have contributed to a typographic screenprint created exclusively for the V&A as part of its activity around its imminent David Bowie Is exhibition.
To create The Changing Faces of Bowie, designer Blam approached over 100 artists and designers and invited them to produce the word ‘Bowie’ in a favourite or bespoke typeface of their choice or creation. The response to the project was overwhelming, a demonstration of the widespread love, respect and admiration that exists for Bowie. Blam has combined 101 Bowies – a dazzling array of typographic styles, logos and symbols representing the constantly changing and ever evolving style of the artist David Bowie. Including contributions from Build, The Chase, Spin, Nom de Strip, Studio NMO, Stockholm Design Lab, Monocle, v23, Paul Belford, Design Project, Corey Holms, Brett Wickens, Johann Zambyski, Pentagram, Crispin Finn, Wallzo, Blam, Anthony Burrill, Wallpaper, Martyn Atkins, The Designers Republic, Trevor Jackson and Jonathan Barnbrook.”
I Think thats about it for now. I have tried to include the best photos i could. But please check out a drop box folder of higer res and of more photos. I know i alway want as many as possible when buying work - www.dropbox.com/sh/pp6ily61gjz6y8w/AAC3HWwKSgYGEyslYTkffW2Ga?dl=0
Cheers

Im glad you noticed that too, I much prefer it to the POW stamped ones and the silver signature ones.
