Banksy Prints Scotland, by bdr79 on Mar 13, 2016 14:04:09 GMT 1, Hey Guys & Girls,
Recently moved back to Scotland and wondered if anyone living here knows of any galleries that stock/sell Banksy prints.
Done some google searching but couldn't find anything.
I know Castle Galleries in Northern Ireland always have some, just wondering if theres anything similar here in the North.
Would be great to go see some in the flesh and see how much they are asking for, as opposed to following price checks on here.
Thanks in advance for any info anyone might have.
John

Banksy Prints Scotland, by Deleted on Mar 13, 2016 20:06:45 GMT 1, Hi John,
Im up near Aberdeen and am not aware of any galleries in Scotland. Through this forum ive discovered a couple of fellow enthusiasts nearby but thats about it.
Worth a cheap flight to Belfast to visit Castle Gallery.

Banksy Prints Scotland, by naughtyshorty on Mar 14, 2016 8:29:17 GMT 1, I bought my first few banksys from the Watermill gallery in aberfeldy in the highlands!! Gorgeous location and place. From memory they have some relationships with long standing collectors. I think they don't sell street art any more, but worth checking them out for their contacts. Lovely people.

Banksy Prints Scotland, by Feral Things on Mar 14, 2016 20:24:26 GMT 1, The bad news is that I can't help with your specific question but the good news is that there's lots of good shit going on in Scotland.
Unfortunately, Recoat don't have a permanent gallery space anymore but they do still organise events like the Spring Fling rural mural festival in Dumfries and Galloway that will return later this year; Ali and Amy are just all about the art and the artists and they're definitely two of the good ones. Gamma Proforma GTD put on exhibitions in their space in Stockbridge in Edinburgh and I've seen shows there by Will Barras and O.Two; even if they haven't got a show there's still the owner's Mini which was painted by SheOne. Dale Marshall has an exhibition in Edinburgh this summer, which I'm looking forward to, and the degree shows at the Glasgow School of Art are consistently some of the best I see. If you're interested in Scottish artists then you might want to check out SmugOne, RogueOne, Mark Lyken, Kirsty Whiten, Spore, FiST, Ali Hamish and Macism, to name just a few.

Banksy Prints Scotland, by overend on Mar 14, 2016 21:55:20 GMT 1, Excellent info from feralthings. I too am looking forward to Dale Marshall's show in Edinburgh.
Would also add War Boutique to the list of Scottish Artists worth keeping an eye on. You can still get the Metropolitan Peace patches from his site.

Subversion Gallery in Glasgow is will be right up your street. Subversion opened in September 2015 and is based in Ruthven Mews, just off Byres Road.
You're right, there are no other galleries like Subversion in Glasgow. That's why we opened, specialising only in original works and signed & numbered limited editions.
Currently we have works by Banksy, Pure Evil, My Dog Sighs, Jungle, Stewy, JJ Adams, Ryca, Imbue, Shuby & Carl Moore.
Any qs, check out subversiongallery.co.uk or just holler.

Banksy Prints Scotland, by bdr79 on Apr 21, 2016 17:34:56 GMT 1, Visited the gallery today....it's awesome. Got some seriously cool pieces, and a nicer owner you couldn't wish to meet.
Went in for a browse and left with another 3 pieces.
A must for anyone in West of Scotland, or just visiting. 2 min walk off of Byers Road.
Subversion has definitely filled a gap in the (Glasgow) market
