I disagree completely. There's a difference between different works in a similar style and almost exact copies with small changes.

As the release has been put back, you could always call the gallery to allay your fears and make your mind up from there. Given that once issued these tend to disappear quite quickly - you either need to be in it to get one or opt out having made an informed decision. Good luck whatever you decide.
Was interested in picking up a print by him but the mixed reviews are putting me off I'm not going for this myself - but if you like the image and are interested enough to buy it, make your own mind up and don't be swayed by others. As the release has been put back, you could always call the gallery to allay your fears and make your mind up from there. There are lots of Galleries that people have had bad experiences with ... I've read enough stories about Laz and one or two others ... but others have had good experiences with them ...

Gentlemans agreements eh. not worth the paper they aren't written on when your dealing with Mr HG that said, they dropped prints and just sent them out, or mailed saying thats what they were doing. and then the last prints were s**t quality. As is this one by the looks of it.ย great artist no mistaking that, but a truly s**t gallery ethic without any doubt.ย
As I've said before if you are owed money for work done then of course you should be paid it.
I just don't think it's right that on every thread featuring an artist that HGG represent that it turns into a negative thread immediately.
For what it's worth I think the Mehdi prints have been great, bar what was a pretty calamitous final release, but that was due to a lot of reasons many out of HGG's hands.
Anyway I just think people need to receive a balanced view as it's very easy for people to slag off on the Internet without any comeback. (I'm not talking about you there Tartarus)

Not knowing the terms of the agreement, or what the artist's working relationship with the gallery is like, I am not sure how you have deduced that. What reason/s do you suggest that he would have to leave the HGG? (You don't have to answer) If nothing is of his own wrongdoing, then how would he be "tied" to the agreement? Equally the insinuations that abound in this thread would lead me to the same conclusion, namely that Mehdi would be in the driving seat and could decide whether to affirm or terminate the contract and claim damages.

I understand that tartarus has an issue with the gallery which he needs to take up with the gallery and like anyone dealing with a gallery that is not happy. Like to see these when people receive them as I like the artists work.
