Julian's Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ, by johnnyh on Dec 6, 2013 18:23:27 GMT 1, They kinda all looked quite legit without seeing or knowing them. Think depends on who was selling them as it could be someone with a strong connection. Must say think that Happy Choppers was cracking. Never would consider street stuff though if saw that and really believed the back story would have been put to the test. just love that image and the Laz letter mmmmm almost legit

Julian's Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ, by Emile on Dec 7, 2013 10:50:04 GMT 1, "The auction included five other works by Banksy that were done between 2002 and 2006. They fetched $421,250 combined, although one of the sales wasn't final because the gavel price had fallen $10,000 short of the $150,000 pre-sale estimate. "

Julian's Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ, by sommguy on Jun 30, 2014 2:16:08 GMT 1, I was gonna go to get the fairey Motor Head print. but it for $1,000 bucks. interesting to see that tho. because t was sold at the last auction there for under $500, and the original went for like $6k.
i saw the closing prices from this auction. very low. i guess people knew there was a fake or two in there, and kept their risk low. all pieces that sold, went for under or around $35k max. I was fighting th temptation myself, but i just went with my principles and said screw my selfish wanting of an original. that rapper rat looked legit tho!!!! sold for like $35K. same for the motor rats. that piece was sick and looked real too. but who knows because you cannot authenticate it.
Hell i could make a rat stencil spray it up and take a picture. wait a while and sell as it as original. i don't understand why people would spend that kind of money on stolen art.... its like really bad karma, imo
But thats what get for selling the public art. looking for a big payday.... look elsewhere

Punchy price. But it does come with a copy of the book, Banksyโs Bristol: Home Sweet Home.

You think Juliens cares, they are good with the provenance of coming from a famous persons collection. Besides if someone With knowledge was to step forward and define 1 or 2 as fake, they would acknowledging the other 5 as real.
It's stolen art with the exception of the bomb hugger protest placard. Those were gifts to the attendees of the anti-war rally.

Seems they don't care much at all about provenance, form, tact or their customers as they are now using COAs under the name "Vermin Control" for their Banksy pieces which in my mind is deceptive and misleading.

I am very well aware of how Auction houses conduct business yes, both the best and possibly the worst of them internationally, and I am also aware of most recorded / documented Banksy street pieces etc.. I was asking which lots specifically you yourself were 'guessing' as fake. Just interested that is all.
I am not in any way affiliated with Juliens myself and dont know of anyone who has bought there.
