I quite like it where is it being released from. As long as it's not art republic I'm happy. I believe FAILE releases most their prints from in house. I like this one more than the first one they put out although I don't think it's worth $500! |

Its not my favourite Faile piece - think there's better ones coming in the series and can't see this replacing anything on the walls now - but considering there's 20 odd pages about a somewhat simplistic image with a rainbow that moves weird there's been so little said. There was more comment about a fish with boggly eyes
Its Faile - it'll look better in the flesh - the small details will be endless and it'll be beautifully printed. Interesting to see how quickly it sells out

I love Faile, they are one of my favourite artists, and I really wanted to love this series of prints but something about the composition just doesn't sit right with me. A shame as I enjoy the original artworks this series is based on.
I guess it will be a slow year for me with Faile purchases as there are another 3 prints from this series to be released throughout the year.
Hoping for some more 150 releases but get the feeling that series may have come to an end.

Yeah its not really an iconic Faile piece, but it will sit well beside others in a nice display I think

Those people should pay as much as one can get from them.
Already one on ebay for over $1k wtf? There are foolish secondary markets that would look for this on eBay but due to the lack of education practiced in most school systems that has led to a general dumbing down of the populace would never think to see if there was a FAILE site. As such they would not be "in the loop", knowing of new releases and things of that sort. Those people should pay as much as one can get from them. |

as for prints.... the last one was sweet sins and was priced at $500. sub rosa was $350 in 2014. chicago provocateurs print was $300. Surgere Supra Bestias in 2013 was $500 but a bit larger print.

Yes. Apart from the recent-ish 125 release series, Faile themselves rarely sell prints for less than this one today? Or have I missed some? 2-3 years ago some runs were around 200-250 at prices around 300-350. Seems like with the first ballet poster they increased the price (by a not huge amount to other pricing strategies we've seen) and more noticeably increased the size of the run. But Fight Vanity (2008), which I've always dug, was a run of 160 @ $875. |

The Sub Rosa and Happens Everyday prints from a couple years ago were smaller (24x28) and had a large white border. The Surgere Supra Bestias and Les Ballets de Faile prints were larger, but were also runs of 500. When you factor in both the size of the print and the size of the run, this print is in line with past prices.

I remember this happening with another of their prints. I suspect they do that to protect their image, then sell them at upcoming shows.
