I think at the time they had so many prints to stamp that it might have got worn out  so they got a new one made with a slightly different design.

A J&J was the first thing I bought off the secondary market, and I had the same questions as you. 
If you ever have questions like this again, you can peep the Limited Edition Print Info section where people have gone over all this type of stuff. Extremely helpful.

Have to question the validity of the bids and if there is shilling going on, or if unknown forces are attempting to inflate market prices. Precarious market...
