Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by senna on Jan 22, 2008 15:00:45 GMT 1, Fantastic pix! Are the Toxic Mary colourways reprints or just kept on file from when they were originally printed?
not sure, but they are editions of 44, all signed
the flower chucker was done as a "thank you" to the local guy (very nice chap) that drove all the artist around to do their thing
told me he'd never shown it to anyone before. I asked him to take me on a tour of the wall & he started driving in the opposite direction?
then about ten minutes later just stopped in the middle of the street, looked over my right shoulder & just smiled
when I turned round...thats what i saw
cheers dude!
wonder how many people have it as a screen saver already
feels better showing them of to like minded people rather than charging for them on the bay, as others do
no bids have been confirmed as yet
all Banksy bids are being dealt with by laz inc.
the rest by POW
...still wondering which bank to rob if I win half of what I bid on!

Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by senna on Jan 22, 2008 16:55:12 GMT 1, can't for the life of me remember his name.
Wissam, was the guy in the gallery that seemed to know what he was talking about.
Apparently, the scale model of Jerusalem was done by his father, commissioned by Banksy. It took 3 years to make
wonder if it sold?

Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by lover on Feb 28, 2008 16:52:03 GMT 1, I am a Uk citizen who does a lot of business with egypt and Israel. I find it hard sometimes going back and forth from Israel-Egypt especially the Taba crossing. I think you have to expect higher security measures between a country that is under constant attack from it neighbours on a daily basis. BTW love the stickers

Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by lover on Feb 28, 2008 17:27:21 GMT 1, or is getting attacked on a daily basis from Gaza with Rocket attacks into Sderot. Over 400 have fallen in the last month alone, Killing and maiming inocent israelis wanting to live a normal life. This is after Israel withdrew from Gaza. All the Israeli attacks are in response to the rockets, and Palestinian civilians will get injured, as Hamas fire the rockets from residential areas. There can never be peace when your ruling party are a recognized terrorist organisation.....

Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by GD303uk on Feb 28, 2008 18:02:35 GMT 1, why back to jesus, lets stay in the last 100 years at least, typical you would think on a Banksy forum the would be more understanding of what is happening over there , i mean what was Banksy thinking of when he went there, the plight of the Israeli's or the Palestinians, the state of israel is uncompromising in its attitude towards the people of Palestine and is an oppressive regime, history has shown that " terrorist " like the ANC and nelson Mandela have been labeled so by the regime thay fight against. we had it here with the IRA its only when both sides are prepared to talk can situation get better, with israel and usa refusing to accept or talk to Hamas how can the problems come close to a resolution, you can not justify unleeshing the full force of the israely army on unarmed citizens, and what happen in beruit was a dissgrace.

Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by GD303uk on Feb 28, 2008 18:04:05 GMT 1, the king David hotel is when the bombing started and it wasnt the palistinians that blew it up from the start israel was born of violance The ensuing explosion caused the collapse of the south-western corner of the southern wing of the hotel. 91 people were killed, most of them staff of the secretariat and the hotel: 28 British, 41 Arab, 17 Jewish, and 5 others. Around 45 people were injured. Some of the deaths and injuries occurred in the road outside the hotel and in adjacent buildings. The attack on the hotel was the deadliest attack against the British in the history of the Mandate and is often credited as being a major factor in the British decision to relinquish the Mandate. If classed as terrorism, the attack was the most deadly one of that kind anywhere until the 1980s, when the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing and the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which blew up over Lockerbie in Scotland, occurred.
