Anyway, none of that matters. I was wondering what Zedsy would do for that difficult second print release. It's interesting. I was expecting something else. I remember seeing this bat/heart image (by Zedsy) on Tumblr last year. It was on a wall I think. Like painted on a wall, graffiti style. Red hearts though (I think). For those that like different coloured hearts.
With his successful piggyback marketing at Dismaland, I would have thought some sort of similar stunt with the new Batman Vs Superman film might have been possible. Anyway, I like the colour and the randomness of it. I'm sure they will fly.
And also, along with Nick Walker's latest offering, this is the second release in the past week or so to associate bats with love. SPOOKY.

They are all sold out now and one has made the Bay already. I think flippers will have acquired many of these. At this price speculators could afford a risk.

I was talking about the artwork and it's delivery of a concept. Batman was created by Bob Kate and Bill Finger actually but if you like it good on ya!

This one while, not as creative as Poison Apple, is kind of cute! I don't mind it all, but I'm also a kid who grew up on DC and Marvel, and loved super heroes! For 35 quid or whatever, I'd have picked one up. I'd imagine the paper is almost worth that much

As an ex-15-year-old who was always sensitive about generalisations, I feel a duty towards my former self to step in and qualify your statement.
What I considered cool back then were images like this one, taken by Fin Costello at the Barbican Centre (though I didn't know the location at the time):
Despite being fond of the non-colour black, visually and philosophically, my 15-year-old self wouldn't have accepted the Zedsy print as a gift โ let alone paid money for it. Like many teenagers, I was overly concerned about what I associated myself with. So I'm pretty confident Hope From Darkness would have been seen by me as kitsch rubbish, and not in a good way.
My outlook and priorities have since changed a great deal. But it's comforting to find that some attitudes and viewpoints have remained consistent throughout the years.

While appreciating there's some overlap, I took film, comics and Batman as three separate references by Happy Shopper .
His fourth reference was to Expressobeans โ which I don't read, so it doesn't apply to me.

Just a glimpse into where the artist draws inspiration and drive. I hope Zahid continues to produce this art for us! One should never mention ExpressoBeans and art in the same sentence and expect to ever be take serious.
