I went down to the Blu / Eric The Dog show at Laz today. It was pretty impressive stuff. The show consists mainly of sketches, but they are all fantastic. I was suprised that there were no prints for sale, but the originals were going for between ยฃ1,500 & ยฃ2,500. One downside is that they haven't seemed to use the upstairs part of the gallery at all! Everything worth seeing is squeezed in the basement level.

his animations are brilliant (did you see this one? it's a video he did for my band) and his posters on pictures on walls were really really good too.
i actually dont see this problem that his images does not work on prints. his style is unique and original, you can immediatly say if that's a blu drawing or not that's why i love his pow prints, they're a piece of what's going on in his head, and that's what art is about somtimes, i guess.
plus, his attitude is great, i've been staring at many political pieces around in the streets here in italy, this guy can be ironic and cinic at the same time. he have a very critical point of view on what's going on in the world nowadays and i appreciate and support this kind of artists.

Imagine WWT were sold at ยฃ100 in edition of 150, it'll be sold out by now and everyone be raving how cool it is to own a piece of blu's street magic etc etc

i see your point, but i dont agree.
i mean, is it really a good thing that a print sold out immediatly? high prices are bad as well, but i cant see another way to keep the print available. maybe a lower price would have ment a even larger edition. and in that way, noone would have been happy again. i mean, the price is high but i think it's worth it.
and also, i dont see blu like a "new" artist, these were his first prints, and that's the new thing, but, well, new artist or not, i really agree when people call him legend so that i think that pow did the right thing having is prints on the website for longer then 1 day. i think that they are cool with the idea of selling them out in an year and not in one day, it's also better for who's taking care of their shippings
