It was painted on the backwall of the Theatre National de Bretagne (National Theater of Brittany) in Rennes (West of France). He painted it on the demand of the theater because they had a play starting called : Marx, un racconto d'inverno.

Here's what is written on the theater website :

"MARX, UN RACCONTO D'INVERNO
Can the historic and conceptual figure of Karl Marx lend himself to a sensitive and poetic approach through the prism of childhood, albeit a fierce one? This is the challenge facing Silvano Voltolina, a close collaborator of Romeo Castellucci, in a singular approach beginning with the creation of a fresco in the urban space. Its design and reali- sation have been entrusted to Blù, an artist at the forefront of international urban art. The play, which is continued in a theatre, is inspired by events in the private life of the Marx family during the first few years of their life in London. It follows the structure of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale which tells of the consequences of children being betrayed by their fathers."

The print looks amazing.
With all my love for Blu's work on large scale I think it loses a lot when turned into a print. This one may change that feeling.

all right, we'll release the new blu prints on monday morning.

no special edition for now. im not in the right shape to work on them, and i have other prints lined up at the studio for when i'll recover.
if i'll ever print some different colors editions they'll be released at FAME festival opening later in september, nothing confirmed.

no, if we'll ever do it, it will be some crazy color variation, same thing we did with the old print demos. but im not sure if i'll do it and if so, it will be available at the show opening of fame. same thing pow does with the special editions available at the shop.

hello there, just wanted to point out that "rennes" is just a provvisory title,
i ALWAYS forget to ask titles to the artist, then it's late night when i put em out on the website and it would be bad to call em at 3:00 and ask em the title. wouldnt it?

anyway, really excited to hear what you guys think when you'll get it. i keep looking at it
