The f5 war, by james10 on May 14, 2016 16:48:38 GMT 1, Let me ask you something here. The other day I tried to get the new Pejac. It took me less than 50 seconds to fill in the address details and to pay via PayPal, but apparently I wasnt quick enough.
This happened many times.
How do you guys manage to get your prints?
Do you have any trick like copy & paste your address?

The f5 war, by Cornish Crayon on May 14, 2016 16:53:09 GMT 1, The internet is amazing ain't it, so fast these days.
Good luck next time, maybe go for a print that hasn't had the shit hyped out of it, look at other artists that are still readily available and sometimes for less monies

Most of the time the madness dies down and you'll get a reasonably priced one. Doesn't always pan out that way, but does a lot of the time.

The f5 war, by Tiki on May 14, 2016 17:43:36 GMT 1, Prices will come down on the bay, a lot of what you are seeing is fake selling to drive up the prices. I'd wager; of the completed sales on eBay only one or two are genuine.

The f5 war, by Deleted on May 14, 2016 17:54:57 GMT 1, The solution is simple. Just stop buying from flippers at hyped prices no matter how much you want the print. Which will leave plenty of art available for genuine collectors.
I like Pejac and his art, he is definately one of the most creative out there making art with a message.
The ships a good image about the destruction of the environment but heck we all consume and all need stuff delivered.

The f5 war, by Art Fan 2011 on May 14, 2016 18:02:34 GMT 1, Judging by the prices of Pejac's previous prints now and his upcoming London show I cant see prices going anywhere but Northwards! Would love to pick up a meadow but price's still seem to high and getting stronger!

Very well done and finished, a really nice piece for what it is.
Thought provoking and a message?... The ship is an icebreaker breaking through frozen sea ice... Nott really environmental destruction.
I get what is supposed to portray.. It just misses the mark. It almost tries to hard.

Well it has a really strong message. You know, the Arctic is one of the top argument in the climate change debate right now. With global warming melting down ice caps, allowing new cargo routes to go straight from East to West and backwards generating more pollution, more consumerism, etc etc and so boosting climate change again. not mentioning the new race to arctic oil reserves..
We could also link that icebreaker to whales hunting here.
So, it is not just a boat breaking ice.

In fact in the grand scheme this is almost a total non issue.
The use of icebreakers are for certain trade routes and research. To use them for major trade routes would be horrifically inefficient, they are used as escorts or rescues. They are ridiculously expensive ships so not many actually exist.. Hell, i think the US only has 1, maybe 2?
Also use for whaling would be pretty much zero if not zero due to the expense and lack of need... Whales can and are easily hunted outside of ice fields.
It gives a great image but this is more of a case of style over substance. It looks great but if you take more than a couple of minutes to think about it the piece loses its striking message.

The f5 war, by james10 on May 15, 2016 10:28:18 GMT 1, Well, what I said it is going to happen in the nearest future. Whales going northwards, opening new routes for commerce, Arctic oil drilling. They are not the present (at least they are not massive yet), they are the future (sadly). The icebreaker is just a forerunner, opening the field to a "bloody" future destroying life as it is in one of the last untouched place on earth (see the dog sledding detail).
And it didn't take minutes to give that message to me, it was straight. That is why I liked it so much.
Again, this is only my idea. The point is still that I don't get how people can buy their prints within 15 seconds

The point is still that I don't get how people can buy their prints within 15 seconds Fair enough The simple answer to the second point is a combination of:
Faster internet Closer locations to store servers Form filling software Purchase bots
It's a curious game. Always leaves you thinking how many will be displayed in their full glory and how many will live in a tube or a cabinet (not that there is anything intrinsically wrong with it.. after all they are commodities.. but a shame never the less.)

The f5 war, by case on May 15, 2016 11:51:20 GMT 1, Google chrome "auto-fill" - needless to say it fills in all you details ( name, address, email etc). I was through to confirmation with 20 seconds and I got nothing as well. The Americans f**ked us with that drop I think.
that's how i got mine. only opening one window, direct internet access via cable, using chrome (much faster than mozilla for example on my laptop) with the autofill option and firing my mouse button at every confirm and proceed button that popped up. maybe practicing with some shooting games helps but in the end some luck is needed i guess.

The f5 war, by Lroy on May 15, 2016 15:12:17 GMT 1, Let me ask you something here. The other day I tried to get the new Pejac. It took me less than 50 seconds to fill in the address details and to pay via PayPal, but apparently I wasnt quick enough. This happened many times. How do you guys manage to get your prints? Do you have any trick like copy & paste your address? some professionals, most are flippers, have the same software than traders in stock exchange. Easy one. You have also another one ( the same ? ) that directly take off passwords, addresses etc ... You click and you have just " pay " button to click. I have not. I don't care. Street-art and shenanigans are now boring me. I have a family to feed. VIP can split off.
