Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by tomhills1 on Apr 11, 2007 19:33:51 GMT 1, aside from the payment issues, if you're ever worried about the photos being legit or something seems just too good to be true, ask for further photos and that they have their ebay id on a bit of paper in each additional photo. be specific like "one of the signature, the stamp, the so and so detail" etc, etc. if you say how you've had your fingers burned before so you're just being over cautious, no offence and they should be happy to help. if not, walk.
you could ask that because a large some of money is likely to be exchanged and you're worried about shipping, could you pick up? it would be a relatively small expense in comparison to the print.

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by paulah on Apr 11, 2007 20:38:34 GMT 1, thanks for all the advice! I have been looking at GRs and signed J&Js on the bay for a few months now - and I have been asking loads of questions! Incredible, really how many don't have proper providence - just say 'I got it off ebay' or vaguer. My problem (I think) is I keep baulking at the prices - and then they go up and I think DAMN! (I was dithering when Reapers were hitting 2.5k) I am a bit of a bargain hunter by nature (understatement) - but can't seem to match a solid offer with a bargain price - which is just the nature of the market - of course.
And the fact that I just might get lucky with another POW release - which is madness really. All that time I put in watching, weeks and weeks - and then missed one on the day - and missed the friday releases too...

that's my man mark, he's selling the rude copper with spray. these were actual gifts, unlike so many backdoor jobs passed off as such. still, surely they're worth a lot less as they're outside the edition, in spite of the POW stamp? ยฃ1500-ยฃ2000 each plus a premium for the whole set, he's not far off but i always think it's better to underprice them and create interest. he could always pull the auction if there was no interest.
mind you, they would look awesome along one long wall. if you've got one long enough, then ยฃ12k is a steal in my book.

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by scud80 on Apr 12, 2007 16:52:43 GMT 1, it would be a decent price if they didn't look so weird. the paper looks like it's the wrong size on all of the placard rats and none of them looks to be stamped by pow even though it says they are. plus he says they were a gift and then that they were purchased in the same sentence. i wouldn't touch those unless there was really rock-solid documentation to accompany the set.

i've seen them first hand. i bought a grin reaper off this chap. he's got all the documentation from james allen (punkdaisy) who would have been where he purchased them. they would have been the same as all the signed run but outside the edition and given away by banksy gifts.
it was some dirty rascal that sold them on, mark did buy them, the reason he states they were gifts is to explain there is no edition number. all stamped though.

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by leumasdarnley on Dec 26, 2007 22:40:34 GMT 1, I know a few have been bouncing around the bay and some cheaper than others. Being I don't see a lot of them for sale what would be a fair price to offer for a Hell Rat with Art Republic Provenance. Don't feel like over paying but I also feel like this might be one of the last chances to pick up some of these smaller edition rats.
Cheers -L

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by craigf on Dec 26, 2007 23:05:45 GMT 1, Probably depends when the buyer bought it from them as the other week they had them in AR at ยฃ1,895 framed!!!!
Assuming its just the print and you are buying from an individual I would have thought ยฃ800 - ยฃ900, maybe a little higher

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by darjeeling on Dec 26, 2007 23:55:15 GMT 1, These have been popping up with some regularity for the past 6 months. And one of these sold on ebay last week for ยฃ650-700. Is 'provenance' from A.R. really worth ยฃ1200 extra? I couldn't imagine paying close to ยฃ2000 for an unsigned print except maybe for one of the early and really iconic prints. Like maybe Happy Choppers, Laugh Now etc. But that's just me.

Just spotted that one myself. That seems a major hike since the last one I saw on the bay. S&S and Trollies are definitely on the up as availability runs dry

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by bill on Mar 8, 2008 19:51:51 GMT 1, Out of all the recent Banksy releases since 2006, I would say Stop & Search has been flipped the least. I would say signed Applause is a close second. S&S has been hard to find and that is really going to drive the price up up up

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by James Smith 77 on Mar 9, 2008 0:40:13 GMT 1, I find it sorta odd that all these prints are fetching such astromomical prices. Call me a conspiracy theorist but does anyone think it possible that there is group of people bbidding all these prints to the sky? Some Mofia perhaps? Does anyone know anyone who has actually bought one of these prints at these prices? Ever since ebay disallowed the viewing of bidders, shill bidding is rampent I think.
