Is the background screened as opposed collaged as there does not appear to be the same texture and the straight edge of the background is throwing me compare to the one that you referenced sold at auction (below).
Quality piece either way.

It looks like the type of print that would come out of Modern Multiples as it looks similar to the Marcos Collage type prints they did.
Does it have a publishers chop?

I cannot really tell if there are hpm collage elements added to the head based on the photo. I would not say it is equivalent to what recently sold in auction, then again, that is just my opinion. Probably a 1-off, would love it for my collection, but I am still in the poor house..... lol.... peace, ec.

This is entirely different to the HPM that sold at aution (unless there is collaging that is not showing up in the pic)
IMO, if this is an image sprayed onto a screenprint it is more like a £5K peice than a £35K peice

Your Big brother is a partial stenciled edition on paper. Edition of 10 or 20.
Secondly, the artwork you mentioned in comparison is a stenciled painting on collage papers which has been unsuccessfully offered on sale in auction before. Paris is offering a good (best) place to sell works of urban artists !!
From my point of view, your edition is not valued at the same price... sorry

As someone mentioned, it does look more like a stencil on top of a screen print than a stencil on actual collage.
I don't know how that effects the price, but it could be more or less appealing depending on the technique?

The piece I'm referring to is called Castro or Marcos Collage. That's the title of the piece, also a screen print and not a collage. Wasn't trying to be a d!ck, I'm genuinely interested in knowing more about this one of yours. |
