Same here. I offered the asking price but seller said he had an offer of $500 more so I would have to beat that. My reply was, I'm out and you can sell it to whoever. Hate this game as well. Just put a price on it and sell it or put it in an auction. |

I don't think this type of nosense will get the op banned.
However, he's not making any friends.
It's rather simple, he's not here to help out his fellow forum peeps.
Just block the op and be done with it, because you shouldn't trust these types of members or their for sale threads.

Let's be honest, the only difference between this thread and the majority of the Banksy FS threads is that the OP doesn't keep updating the forums with new offers. Anytime I get a reply from the OP stating "oh I got a higher offer would you like to offer more" I don't even waste my time replying. Like you said PM's are not public and most of the time it's all B.S.
FS threads that operate like this often kill deals and the same can be said when forum members chime in and inject their bias opinion when something they own is listed for less than what they'd sell it for. "Oh that's way cheap" or "That's a steal! I wouldn't sell mine for anything less than XXXX" - meanwhile these are the same people who own the same print/works trying to protect their own investment and it just results in mindf*cking the seller into thinking they're losing out on a rent payment.
This is the only time where I prefer the last sale thread experiment. Doesn't give the seller too much attention in order to play these games and doesn't bring responses into the spotlight. If someone is really looking for an item and someone is really selling an item then both have the added pressure of doing their due diligence and staying vigilant on the forums...Not wait for thread replies/conversations to re-bump threads to catch their attention.
