Bubble wrapping, by Deleted on May 25, 2016 12:30:56 GMT 1, Hi, I'm sure the answer is hidden somewhere on here but i can't locate it.
When bubble wrapping a painting do i want the bubbles facing into the painting or facing away from the painting. Or does it not matter?
Not being shipped, just into a van and a 40 min drive

Bubble wrapping, by Harveyn on May 25, 2016 12:42:45 GMT 1, Try to avoid bubble wrap in direct contact with art. Especially glossy works as chemical reactions can happen leaving an impression. Cover with paper first. If its necessary then bubbles should be facing outwards.

Bubble wrapping, by Coach on May 25, 2016 12:52:10 GMT 1, Harveyn is spot on as usual. If you wrap with bubbles facing inwards you run the high risk of leaving hundreds of little circle marks on the painting.

Bubble wrapping, by Deleted on May 25, 2016 13:46:57 GMT 1, Thanks all, especially Harveyn the Oracle.
Moving house would be somewhat easier if I collected stamps rather than paintings
