I had countless offers on my Lofoten from buyers expecting to make a bargain and get disgruntled when I ask them to dig deeper in their pockets.
This particular piece is a solid piece of work. It's national romantic (fisherman) with an unexpected twist (surfer board) but it all comes together beautifully because the area of Lofoten is both know for their fishing tradition and for great (and cold) surf waves. This is a piece that men and women likes (WAF) and even people without any interest in art in general likes it. People who buys this hang it on the wall because they like it and not in a portfolio expecting it to raise in value.
In other words, if you want this print you need to make people want to sell it. If you want to buy mine I would reluctantly take it down from my wall for £3500. I don't expect you to even consider this as an serious offer, but if I where to part with my beloved fisherman, and to make a point, this would do the trick as I'm not forced to sell it. If I had to sell it, I might be more prone to discuss price. This is a Pøbel so it's not gonna happen. If it were a Dolk then it might be realistic. If it were a Bansky my mailbox would be full in a minute.
Bottom line, state your price, make it good and it would be more likely you would become the happy owner of your own Lofoten.

But like all pobels past prints few come up for sale , note recent release compared to most other artist releases a few always come to market straight after release for a profit.
Seems most go to real fans plus pobels print releases are low in edition size and 1 or 2 releases per year?

We are happy to finally present the large version of Pøbel’s “Bunad” print.
Sincere apologies for the long hold up, but hopefully it has been worth the wait.

We actually printed the 50x100 version before the 40x70 edition. Working on the smaller version we tried out some new techniques that we were really happy with. We then decided to re-print the 50x100 edition as to obtain equivalent layout
