I had this happen to me recently with an original piece of work from somewhere else, sent in a jiffy bag with book, arrived badly creased. The gallery were lovely in replacing it but to make it worse, when the new replacement arrived my heart sank as it was so dull in comparison to the artwork that got damaged I was really peeved. I hope you get one another one quickly and it arrives in better nick.

Why would you pack this between 2 pieces of corrugated card? Surely that was always going to be an epic fail??

It arrived. Damaged. I'm not sure why any gallery, let alone one connected to a museum would send prints out in this manner. Straight away I could see it had been bent at the top end of the envelope, it shouldn't have been sent like this. I had two prints recently sent from the states that were flat packed, arrived perfect condition because of the hardboard used. But from Wales to here using cardboard, a jiffy bag and Royal Mail, would always be a problem.
I've asked for my money back via paypal. I don't want to risk them sending another one, packaging it the same way, and lets face it the chances are high on that happening. Someone needs to be retrained in packaging. Good thing, the more damaged ones appear through this farce, the rarer the print will be in the long run. No longer an edition of 250 that's for sure.
