Mine was also damaged.  It always amazes me that people do not think practically when packaging up artwork.  I asked politely for a replacement and i'm waiting for a reply.

Wow, looked like I dodged the bullet on this one. Mine is OK, a slight 5mm crease in one corner that I can live with.

I doubt it had much to do with it, I wrote to them the moment there were two complaints on here re the packaging.  I was worried mine would turn up in a state too (which it did - so too late for mine).

I told them I was on an 'art forum' and that it didn't bode well for other prints sent out if the ones delivered were damaged, as it would surely be more than a couple having issues as the time went on.  I also told them to be aware that I was expecting my print on the Saturday and that they would be hearing from me regarding whether it arrived in good order or not. When my print arrived, of course they received a very snooty email of complaint regarding their packaging and lack of care as a museum dealing with art work blah blah blah.... A nonsense that they have to have it explained to them.

Today i received an email from the woman who is in charge of the shop and was told to send the print back and that I would get my refund on doing so. So that is what I will do.  I don't expect i will be ordering from them again.

Mumsnet? What is that supposed to be, an attempt at an insult or something. I don't use Mumsnet by the way, so I'll leave that to you. Learning curves on other people's money by a museum, yeah ok then. Sounds very sane.

I'm not allowed to expect proper packaging for 185 quid? Please.

I don't care if it was the sweet shop on grove ducky, I do expect prints purchased to be carefully packaged whether they're from a gallery or not.

Fingers crossed for mine. Last 3 prints I have received flat have all been damaged (though they are travelling to China) which is a shame, especially when you wait for 3/4 weeks for them to arrive. Last Peter Blake print (Ian Dury) arrived dogeared so reckon I am owed a pristine one this time round.

Probably so many damaged that they had to save the rest to resend.

My replacement arrived this morning.  It was damaged worse than the first one and the packaging was still really poor.  Fed up now.

To those that got replacements, how long did it take the museum to respond to your initial emails about a damaged print?

I called her re my refund as I hadn't heard whether they received the print back and I also didn't trust choosing to have another sent. She kindly offered me a replacement saying that they had changed the packaging so it should arrived undamaged.  She (Sara) is really nice, so maybe best to call when it's open so she can tell you directly.  

It's a real shame, but I just couldn't chance a replacement and go round in circles.  Although she did say they changed the way it was being packaged.  

Ask for Sara in the shop, they'll put you through.

Yes! They've cracked it! A lovely lovely print... A fantastic hand written quote by peter blake at the bottom... Worth the hassle... !

The quote is his handwriting but screened and hand numbered to the left and signed to the right.

I stand corrected... Thank you young man....

Oh and a lovely framing by the way...well done to you sir...
