I can not emphasise this enough : Pauli is the absolute best you will find, for a very decent price, in London. If you are obsessed about the sanding of your corners as I am, then he is the guy.
The guy loves art, has a very very decent collection, and just won't accept a 99% good job.
I bought a print from a member on here a while back, and mentioned that I was using a very reputable framer but had reason to be unhappy about the quality, he suggested Pauli and since Ricardo has done each and every frame I own.

Peter Blake 🏴 Pop Art • Print For Sale & Wanted, by met on Mar 10, 2016 13:45:23 GMT 1, Pauli all the way you won't find better! There are only two UK-based framers I'm familiar with that I would recommend, at least for high-value artwork: 1. John Jones 2. Pauli Frames
---------
One or two other framers are regularly praised on this forum, in my view often naively — because that praise is generally based on superficial impressions of completed frame jobs, the friendliness of the framer, and/or convenience of service. When you speak in private to people who've had a lot of art framed, it is then that you hear stories of poor experiences, even nightmares, including frame jobs that were discovered years later to be not quite as archival as claimed.
biren1993 — Whomever you chose for your framing, do your own homework beforehand. Full knowledge won't be given to you on a plate; it's advisable to make an effort and research further. Google is your friend here. Learn about framing techniques and materials. Understand the distinction between the different standards in framing — for example between conservation level and museum level.
When liaising with a framing company, ensure there's a full paper trail. Get everything in writing, like the specific materials that will be used. Double-check that your instructions are clear and comprehensive. And of course, take detailed condition photos of your art prior to handing it over.
I've made similar comments in the past, like here and here. Black Apple Art has also been proactive in his repeated warnings about the risks of poor framing (especially in the context of needing to examine works on paper outside of frames in order to properly assess their condition).
---------
All that said, no matter how skilled and diligent the chosen framer, there will inevitably be some occasions when cock-ups do happen. You're dealing with the law of averages and humans, after all. And those humans may be apprentices working at the framer, or even highly-experienced staff who were just momentarily distracted or inattentive. So prepare as well for the worst.
Between John Jones and Pauli Frames, I go with the former and have mentioned them previously. A key reason for this comes down to the standard terms and conditions of Pauli Frames. I'm uncomfortable with their exclusion clauses, and their insurance provisions are unsuitable for my own needs:
8 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
8.1 Except in respect of death or personal injury due to negligence for which no limit applies, the entire liability of the Supplier to the Customer in respect of any claim whatsoever or breach of this Agreement, whether or not arising out of negligence, shall be limited to the fees paid by the Customer to which the claim relates.
8.2 In no event shall the Supplier be liable to the Customer for any loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of profits or for any other indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever. This shall apply even where such a loss was reasonably foreseeable or the Supplier had been made aware of the possibility of the Customer incurring such a loss.
8.3 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit the Supplier’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from the Supplier’s negligence or that of its employees, agents or sub-contractors.
9 INSURANCE
Please be aware that you the customer must arrange and maintain adequate insurance imposed by these terms and conditions including ‘ without limitations all risks insurance’ or an equivalent policy at the full replacement value of all artwork, goods and materials supplied by you the customer or any third party relating to the contract to Pauli Frames. Also you the customer must make sure that you maintain similar insurance during transportation of said artwork, goods and materials supplied by you the customer or any third party relating to the contract to Pauli Frames. Pauli Frames will not be held liable for any loss or damage consequential or otherwise to said artwork and goods.

Peter Blake 🏴 Pop Art • Print For Sale & Wanted, by Matt on Mar 10, 2016 14:24:22 GMT 1, met that is probably one of the best posts on this forum
Don't take "reputable" framer lightly. Don't take recommendations for granted, and learn from the mistakes a lot of us have made with framing.
For me seeing the man at work, going through the materials in the workshop, being taught how various hinges work, being contradicted when my framing choice is unsuitable for the material / weight / texture of a certain piece...that is when I decide to trust someone to seal my art in a box with a window.
Your point on Pauli's terms and conditions is also valid and is not something most people think about when leaving an expensive piece of paper in a workshop.
My insurer confirmed my art is insured under my blanket cover even with a Framer / Restorer when it comes to theft (but not damage by the framer which is another policy)

Hopefully not like that!
I have to say I was on the fence on this print but seeing that frame job (one was posted of that next to the artist) with the white borders accentuated turned me off.

the border of the actual print is only 5cm. Not sure why they took this image ( and clunky framing ) to promote this nice print.
