I agree but all those artists you quoted are painters. Maybe for you personaly painters work and conceptual art doesn't. Of course that is what life is like - we all connect with things in a different way.

S-editions, nice to see you lot ripping the pi**. I remember not so many months ago you guys were the butt of many a joke! Good on ya!

Yes I have to agree....S-editions well done for getting Mr G Turk's stab at conceptual art.....with Dr D on the books aren't you guys pushing the envelope??

"Gavins Auction Saboteur exclusive today is a first. Simply his signature on a brick ... or should we say tag? We love the way this piece raises question about street or urban art. What is it? What isn't it? Why do we concern ourselves with leaving a mark? When does a tag become a brand? When does the signature become more important than the art itself?"
Edition of 10 @ ยฃ500 each.

Those only looking for investment only might want to note there is another turk on the site that has not sold out yet - several years after release. This new one is an iconic image however and a screen print. Will see if the price is still good at the end of the month and will pull the trigger....

The only one I've kept is the Heritage plaque, for me that's basically the most important thing he ever made, aside from the Sid mannequin, so it's nice to have a print of that work now too, fortunately it is more than that though, as he's re-worked it to reference Warhol's double Elvis. It's fun, and it's also very large, for under ยฃ400 frankly you can't go wrong.

I've got a framing backlog - bought from counter a few times and their prints are top notch as is their framing done by Derbyshire framers.
Only hoping to discourage 'investors' as I want them to stay available.

Though that is an aluminium standing multiple, much like the Alex Katz ones of Ada. I almost bought it in the sale, but it had a few condition issues and for me was just too much like a poor mans Sid mannequin. At least this print takes the concept a stage further, so it's not just a cheap multiple version.
