Kickstarter & Similar Projects, by .dappy on Jul 2, 2016 10:44:15 GMT 1, Every so often, I see a project that I think is interesting, helpful, charitable, I would like, or a combination of all four.
This thread is for those type of projects. I don't necessarily mean charitable (art) auctions, art events etc, as they can have their own Threads, but hopefully you get what I mean.
There will always be a caveat emptor, especially with kickstarter and the like. I have been 'burned' on one of their projects, but have been successful and delighted with a number of others.
Every so often, I see a project that I think is interesting, helpful, charitable, I would like, or a combination of all four.

The family firm was first established in the 1800's, by the great great grandfather Walter Wright before becoming a Ltd company in 1902: Ernest Wright & Son Ltd. Based in Sheffield - the home of quality steel making.
The cost of a pair of scissors is ยฃ50.00 and they do some mugs and t-shirts that are nice and a bit cheaper if you just wish to support the project
Who doesn't need a handmade, stainless steel, lifetime guarentee set of scissors? Their story is interesting and I liked it

I adore things like this.
It would be great if everybody kept this up to date. Annatomix did an awesome Kickstarter a while back.
