I know it's been pointed out before, but with all of the prints handed to friends over the years he's made a lot of people rich. Some of Banksy's less famous collaborators have likely stayed afloat over the years with the sale of these prints. Time will tell when the well runs dry unless Banksy can maintain all of those relationships.

I'm curious what makes people so confidently state AGAINST a theory without any refuting evidence... it's just strange... especially when logic points you to the same connection time and time again. I know it's been pointed out before, but with all of the prints handed to friends over the years he's made a lot of people rich. I'd say I'm quite jealous, as I admire both 3D's visual and musical work, but most of what Banksy does is too cheese for me. No offense to anyone else in the art world or elsewhere, but Del Naja seems to me as the likely candidate only because I don't think anyone else has enough brevity or intellect to pull off what Banksy has done. I'd have a hard time artistically connecting them outside of a couple entries found in '3D and the Art of Massive Attack'.... The story is interesting, and that's really all I care to input.... |
