The Donbas region is internationally respected as being a part of Ukraine, they are simply defending their borders, Russia attacked them. Africa will never be easy to sort whilst the gang land mentality of young men continues to be the way many young men choose to live. I cannot see how you cannot choose a side in this current situation with Russia bombing schools and maternity hospitals. |

Even though I disagree with almost all of your points, there is an interesting discussion to be had on how we talk about different conflicts.
For my part, I think the accusation (not that you made it personally) that I or others feel differently about a murdered Ukrainian child than about a murdered Syrian child is a heavy one that should not be made without knowing your counterpart. Arguing this also denies that there are (sadly) stonger implications of this war on the security architecture of our world order than the war let’s say in Syria or Yemen has. Why this is is of course another matter…

Trump, put into power with help from Putin, tried to weaken NATO so that the reclaiming of Ukraine would be the 3 day cakewalk Putin thought it would be. The war is as much about NATO as it is about Ukraine. The attacking of civilians, aimed to drive them into surrounding NATO countries as refugees is aimed at weakening the NATO alliance.

At a guess i would say most people who oppose the invasion of Ukraine would also of opposed those as well.
Plenty of protests took place during these conflicts around the world.
However your initial objection was against the artists who were at the forefront of most of these protests, but if its the politicians that your real objection lie with then your preaching to the choir.
I think maybe you've got confused along the way.
