UK. Jack, OK! Parisian boutique colette is constantly creating new ways to collaborate and explore the nooks and crannies of style and culture - and its latest venture is a big-up to Britishness.
UK, Jack, OK! goes back to the 60s with more than a passing nod to Punk, in an exhibition featuring a "subjective selection of works from assorted artists, photographers, creators, graphic designers, musicians and writers". Of course, there's a tempting array of accompanying products in honour of the event available online: a pint-sized London bus (€15) which features logos from colette, UK Jack, OK! and Dover Street Market, a limited run of 300 'Topshop x colette' T-shirts (€25 comes with 25 page colour catalogue of teh exhibition), fine bone china coffee mugs (€25 also includes a catalogue) produced by Dover Street Market with Thomas Goode, plus a tea pot/cup and saucer combo (quite pricey at €129 - and you only get one cup!).
The store exhibition has contributions from ShowSTUDIO.com, DV8, Pictures On Walls, Comme des Garçons, Committee, Hedi Slimane and Alan McGee (!). But the best thing is that when the exhibition finishes in Paris on March 27th, it will be heading to London and open at Dover Street Market on April 10-May 13, before moving to Japan in September. Can't wait.
