Ben Eine auctions art for charity, by Oliver Clatworthy Fine Art on Aug 15, 2016 14:18:22 GMT 1, A bespoke piece created by celebrated street artist Ben Eine currently on display at pop-up event space Casa Havana is now available for public auction. The artwork is inspired by Eine’s recent trip to Cuba, where he met with local artists from a range of specialisms. Proceeds from the auction will go to Shelter. In collaboration with Havana Club rum, Eine has brought those experiences to life in the artwork, which members of the public can view at Casa Havana, a two week Cuban pop up by Havana Club open now at 15 Bateman Street in Soho and running until 20th August. In addition to the bespoke piece, Eine collaborated with local artists in the city of Havana to create the street signage that welcomes guests into the space up until August 20th. The vibrant artwork features Ben’s signature lettering known to grace the shutters of East London and even a piece of artwork gifted by David Cameron to Obama. Eine says of his work; ”Havana was everything I expected and a lot more...the city is alive with colour and energy, and there are some insanely talented artists showcasing their art publicly.
