Imagine if Banksy released all his images as open edition posters for ยฃ10 each, postcards ยฃ1 each, giving everyone the chance to own a real Banksy and at the same time removing the market for the fakes.
The only reason I can see for not doing cheaper affordable pieces is coz the marketing plan for Banksy is to increase the values, so they can sell the new originals for serious serious money.
Do you think things will change in the future years?
What do you think is Banksy's plan for the next 5-10 years?

Maybe if he really wanted that he could of set up a site with all his images as downloads.
But the problem with that setup is it would encourage more businesses producing fake Banksy pieces and selling them as genuine to people who don't know.

Its called pest control 
An official store selling merchandise wouldnt change much, all the shops etc selling stuff would keep doing it anyway, it would likely just be a headache, more staff, premises etc etc

Id 2 clients flew in from amsterdam on saturday, they said the general consensus over there was the moco thing was done in really poor taste, atmosphere was crap and it was so detached from anything Banksy, it was obvious it was nothing to do with him the art was obviously great. The official B market is pretty clean in comparison to many, pc help protect the market from fakes.

For selfish reasons im not keen on the vip print issue. But you got to pay the bills and reward performers I guess. And the queue issues were nuts and unsafe. F5 or lottery might be the way forward. Or... maybe I would do a secret drop,that you could only buy with a code.You could get a code only after you have:
Hand in a lost phone, jewellery or wallet/purse you have found.
Or
Help a strange out or show an act of kindness.
All money going to help childen who are effected by the ongoing conflict in Syria.
Those Hospital staff and volunteers in all warzones are truly amazing.

Dear Daniel, for those of you who have known the Pow shop it will certainly make you think of a good memory. For those like me who haven't experienced it, pow represents a nightmare.
It's gone now.
I don't think anyone on the face of the earth will ever again have the chance to own some Banksy artwork for a few dozen pounds.
It was certainly a great moment for many.
Now not even hope can believe in a resurgence of this shop or of this mentality towards those who don't have the possibilities.
It's all in the history of things.
