His train journey tv show is perfect cover for a his secret desire to stencil and warp reality. He could not do this alone so my money's Christopher Biggins and Neil Buchanen arebalso part of the collective don't watch this space. Have a lovely day everyone and keep smiling

Is THIS the real face of Banksy? Robert Del Naja?, by jimbofatz on Oct 10, 2017 2:48:28 GMT 1, Thing is in early graffiti culture people would often tag names that weren't even involved or on site. So all this talk about if you knew style and your history you'd know 3D's style doesn't match Banksy's is complete bullshit. The only recognizable style BANKSY has is stencil. (If anything the top example certainly shows a strong Bd or 3d to it) and of course early Bristol and stencil is completely 3D "style". So style wise its 100% a match.
As you can see completely different early "styles" for banksy.

Is THIS the real face of Banksy? Robert Del Naja?, by Unica on Oct 10, 2017 3:01:46 GMT 1, is it the one painting or the one with the bucket on the right you are convinced is 3d? That question aside. Either donโt look like Robin Gunningham. So whoโs banksy?!?!?. Who cares? People like his art and don't need to know what he eats for breakfast. You don't even like his art so give it a rest. You don't comment on anything other than Banksy threads, your negativity is exhausting, I don't like a lot of the art on here but I don't shit on everything they do. Just move on.

Judging a mans waist line from whenever you met him to a picture of a guy bending over in baggy jeans is impressive knowledge. Here you go is this a better angle slender enough for you fun boys -- same shoulder width as a ladder.

Huh? Your right I donโt need to know what he eats for breakfast. Actually I donโt care. But his identity is relevant. If banksy is one person vs 20 people that is very relevant.

The artist prefers to remain anonymous, this allows him to work in a manner that allows him to do the work he wants. Why can't you just respect that. And don't ask why? if it has to be explained to you, you clearly won't understand. I've no idea why you are so bothered by this artist but I think you should maybe find another interest other than trolling Banksy threads.

Thatโs all great. Still doesnโt take away from the question regarding identity. If โbanksyโ is 100 artists you canโt ignore that when trying to gauge his artwork among others.
Look another joining the gang. How dare I ask about his identity. How dare I ask about the signed hook!

Is THIS the real face of Banksy? Yeah, it's been there for years. The speech bubble used to say 'G'wan me babber' Used to be one the highlights when we still lived in Bris - the drive down from St George across St Pauls to the clubs (I used to dj at the Infamous/Heresy night) and spotting the usual suspects on the walls. I'd stopped the CRASS-a-like stencilling by then but was still popping up the paste-ups. Can't remember the name of the builder's merchants (I think) bottom of St George but I used to grin like a b@stard every time I saw the monkey-detonator on the wall. Long gone now... sad but inevitable I suppose. Mind you I think it went when the site was redeveloped and probably wasn't disappeared into someone's indoor 'outdoor' collection. Noticed too, the last few visits, that Stokes Croft has gone paste-up crazy. Love it. One more thing... funniest phrase sprayed on a wall in Bristol I've seen lately: You can take our benefits but don't take our internet porn...

3D has done work as Banksy as have others but this is very common in graffiti. Yes, a lot of banksy imagery is borrowed from other places and done by others but that doesn't mean its alls**t. Graffiti does not fit in the same box as other art movements it wasn't designed for that. Hence, the early crews its acceptable to be more of a group thing for lack of a better word. ANOTHER way to put it is -- you're comparing a team to a single player.
Just enjoy 3ds work thats what this section is for which include the works he's done as Banksy all over the world.
If its to much of a cluster/old boys club for you just like Goldie said Robert vs. Banksy... Ill take Robert and Robbo over Banksy. I;m certainly of that opinion as well. I love seeing the old crew pieces and the talk of Crass.
Concerning the hook: Ask that ahmed guy with the 4 box sets for sale. He seems legit.
I honestly hope you can sleep better.

so why does 'people' try to play banksy off as one artist? is it so they can categorize it? compare it?
if banksy is a bunch of people (which i buy) (which i also think makes the 'work' all the better) why do people not want to admit it? why do people seem to want to ignore it?

Is THIS the real face of Banksy? Robert Del Naja?, by jimbofatz on Oct 10, 2017 17:27:55 GMT 1, thanks! so why does 'people' try to play banksy off as one artist? is it so they can categorize it? compare it? if banksy is a bunch of people (which i buy) (which i also think makes the 'work' all the better) why do people not want to admit it? why do people seem to want to ignore it? Globally, a lot of it has to do with the way Exit through the gift shop was shot/edited. They made it look like he was one person but also interviewed the people who have been involved. It's easier to make a star that way vs. trying to push an entire group of people that;s a lot less impressive and would have just turned the film into a graffiti documentary. It all just works out nicely because as a graffiti artist you can't go broadcasting your name everywhere so there was room for all this. I don't think a single crew was shot or mentioned through the whole movie it made every graffiti artist look like some loner bad to the bone genius.
I don't know why people on here don't talk about it. Don't really care. But the reason you can't GIVE a banksy away to a large museum is because figuring how out who to attribute it to is often a mess.
