I've no drams with someone trying to make a buck or two, but this is clearly a rip off, I'm guessing here but what are the chances you can only use Apple ear buds rather than a cheaper set...??

iPhone 7, by Nick on Sept 8, 2016 19:50:48 GMT 1, Any bluetooth headphones will be compatable. I've just purchased the new bose qc35's which are the noise cancelling wireless ones and for ยฃ100 more than the apple set they are outstanding.
I'm still on the iphone 5 and had planned to upgrade to the 7 but not so thrilled by the upgrades. Next release will be the 10th anniversary of the iphone so expect a better release and might just wait. Would love to hear a review of the 7 when someone gets one.

I believe it's $159 and not ยฃ159. (Not sure about non US pricing) And when you consider what the new wireless headphones do seems like a pretty fair price based on other wireless headphones out there that are less conveinent to charge or pair and aren't connected to each other physically in some way. Also they aren't making you buy them. You can still use the free pair included with the phone..or the free adapter to use any other connected headphone. I'm a sucker for a great camera so I'm in on the 7 plus personally.

iPhone 7, by Baby Dave on Sept 8, 2016 23:09:42 GMT 1, I'm going to get one as my iphone 6 contract runs out this month, however I am not overly impressed with the upgrades. I was hoping the screen would be more of a match for the Samsung.
Mate, hold out for the next iPhone! Trust me. The ten year anniversary will be a big release for Apple.
I'm totally underwhelmed by the 7. Good camera upgrade but the 7plus has a better feature. I'm hoping come the next upgrade the standard model will have the dual camera.
As for the water proof aspect.... Still quite gimmicky. That standard of water proof is for around one metre. I'll be impressed when they bring out a water proof phone for underwater use.
Don't get me started on the air buds.... $159.... But also ยฃ159.... No cross over for conversion rates. I'd rather get a set of Bose or dre beats.
The watch2 is also a little underwhelming. The underwater usage feature is the main update. Many people were hoping for a built in camera. I reckon that'll be the 10 year anniversary update.
I won't be upgrading just yet but may save up each month for the next release (if it tickles my fancy).
I've been apple brainwashed so am biased to a degree.

Agree with Baby Dave and think this is the most underwhelming iPhone update since it premiered. As I have managed to not have any water damage since the first iPhone in 07 and have had every version since, this feature is really meaningless for me. The dual lens camera on the other hand would have completely won me over but that fact I need the larger plus version to get it really puts me off. I had the 6 plus and found it just too big and went back to the 6s last release. I feel moving back to the plus again for the camera doesn't outweigh the negatives the size carries with it. Would be the first time I passed on an update and still mulling it over. Here's my collection of my apple devotion. Funny I remember having the first model in 07 and most people telling me it would flop but would always ask to play with it .

I am sure you noticed that charger ports on phone (Samsung, etc.) are now all similar and I am sure you are quite happy about it (you can now plug your phone almost everywhere), this is thanks to the UN's MPPI. It doesn't look much but having common ports has drastically reduced number of cables and cords. Apple is creative and innovative, but it has also been arrogant and little concern about enviromnental issue agreed at global level. I hope EU will force Apple to adopt commons. To be fair to Apple here they have done quite a bit in recent years to support green initiatives. I'd say far more than most large companies. Not to say there is not more to be done but Apple has been praised by green peace, appointed Lisa Jackson to lead their environmental and social efforts, maintain the highest recyclable percentage of a consumer electronics product, and now run on 100% renewable energy.

Hiring Lisa P. Jackson was a huge investment by Apple in green initiatives. Being from New Jersey, I've known/known of Jackson for a decade or so. She became our state's Commissioner of Education in 2006 and became administrator of the federal Environmental Protection Agency in 2009.
She is brilliant, tough, and a tremendous advocate for the environment.

iPhone 7, by milo99 on Sept 9, 2016 19:30:08 GMT 1, Yep, wait for next year, it will have a normal jack, a common USB charger as well as common ports as it is mandatory EU law (unless you are in UK or outside EU) Downside with Apple is that they never participated in the EU's IPP (Integrated Products Policy) text and UN's MPPI (Mobiel Partnership Initiative) who both managed to have a consortium between manufacturers in order to reduce e-waste. Not to say there is not more to be done but Apple has been praised by green peace, appointed Lisa Jackson to lead their environmental and social efforts, maintain the highest recyclable percentage of a consumer electronics product, and now run on 100% renewable energy. images.apple.com/environment/pdf/Apple_Environmental_Responsibility_Report_2016.pdfthinkprogress.org/apple-makes-huge-commitment-to-sustainability-c0997678dd5c#.91qg7tr7nresearch-methodology.net/apple-corporate-social-responsibility-csr/
Alot more tax dodging though

iPhone 7, by Dive Jedi on Sept 9, 2016 21:35:12 GMT 1, Is it water proof or splash proof? It is supposed to last 1 hour at 1 meter (3 feet) deep.
So you could swim with it. No diving.
