While it's easy to admire something like that I think very few are going to want such a massive object to deal with and store and move etc. Now I do like Hockney's recent work (who doesn't I guess) but I cringe when I se these Taschen releases, they're kind of known for producing gawdy and usually overpriced tat. Although I really don't know what Hockney's prints sell for so maybe this is different?
It's not 10,000 prints. It's 10.000 books at ยฃ1750
The first 1,000 books come with a print (for an extra ยฃ1750). There are four prints so each print is limited to 250.
I'd say that even factoring print size and edition size, it's a favourable price compared to buying primary elsewhere. Current primary prices begin around $20,000 for larger prints with editions of around 25. I'd say it's a good way for folk to get an affordable, current, signed Hockney on their walls. And the images work well, I think. They represent his current output of nature scenes and contain Hockney's signature line work and colour.

Yeah, that's quite a few I guess but I don't know so much about books. I see it as a ยฃ3.5k signed Hockney that I really like with a limited edition signed book thrown in
