New England Manager, by loother on Sept 27, 2016 20:31:03 GMT 1, 1) Subsidise coaching courses and encourage people of all backgrounds to take them, rather than making the serious courses so expensive that only professional footballers can afford it 2) Invent time travel, return to the 80s and don't sell off all the school playing fields 3) Give the job to Eddie Howe, for now. He's too young, he's failed at one of his three jobs so far, and the other two are basically both the same, but he seems very bright and his team plays well

New England Manager, by Cornish Crayon on Sept 27, 2016 20:54:38 GMT 1, Howe should stay exactly where he is, he has only been a manager for five minutes, don't walk away from what you have achieved......
Managers who get promoted then leaving for something they believe is an advance on their career is a massive mistake, money is always a factor wether it be personal pay packet or transfer budget......
I'd say Harry but I'd be happy with Bruce as he is out of a job at the moment ........

Why?
Here's why not... Bournmouth - bankrupt and relegated West Ham - Did OK Southampton - bankrupt and relegated P#rtsmouth - bankrupt and later relegated QPR - relegated with massive wage bill
Spurs - one good season with a good team
It makes Alladyce look like Guadiola. And that doesn't even cover the endless grey financial dealings that he's been linked with.

Nico Kranjcar would be sorted a British passport, and Crouchy and Defoe would be instantly recalled.
I'd like Klinsmann or Wenger. But sadly both are far too well respected to go anywhere near such a mediocre job.

New England Manager, by Daniel Silk on Sept 28, 2016 8:03:24 GMT 1, Give it to the Man Utd school of '92. Giggs, Beckham, Neville, Neville and Butt. Yeah, I think the pressure on one person is too much, so a group of ex players that can motivate the team would work well. I think the focus has been too much on tactics leaving the players confused and the team not reaching its full potential.

New England Manager, by Deleted on Sept 28, 2016 10:25:29 GMT 1, I can't think of anyone who jumps out as a suitable replacement tbh. How about having a business person in charge of a team? you don't have to be from a footballing background in order to be successful. A decent business mind can study tactics of winning teams and replicate (although needs the tools to implement). They can also be motivators which a lot of the time is needed. I reckon a decent project manager could do a decent job and wouldn't have to pay the millions either.

While not as mental a choice as 'Arry, Hoddle would be another appalling option. He's someone who last managed over 10 years ago at Wolves and hasn't won a single trophy or league title ever. Might as well have done with it and give the job to Eileen Drury.

Look at the teams they managed along the way to the England job too!)

He might not have managed in a while but he understands the game better than most.
Unfortunately with our FA who know FA we will end up with Southgate, another FA "yes" man.

I care not for his commentary, what i do care about is getting a starting XI playing decent attacking football.

New England Manager, by mehor on Oct 2, 2016 6:51:59 GMT 1, IMO it is not the coach who is important...its the players. Even Guardiola will not win with England. As long as PL clubs buy players from average European teams for 10-20 Mio, there will be no success for England. England has one Stones, Germany for example has 10. Germany started to focus on their own youth system (England does too) but with one small difference. German teams played them during real games and did not buy anybody who has two legs....
