A bad thing when the SUN run a Banksy Story??, by blacksy on Mar 13, 2007 11:06:00 GMT 1, www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2007110792,00.html
What next ? a phone vote for your favourite banksy.
You can imagine the humble opinions of the readers might be:
The best thing is - they actually do encourage readers opinions - they werent as bad as i thought they might be - but they are funny!
How comes the garage owner never thought of preserving it - the Albert pub in brighton got their kissing coppers vandalised, and then they restored it, and put up protective plastic over it. Perhaps we should start a Banksy Preservation society!

funny you should mention that, i watched children of men last night and in 2027 this art guy has been collecting all the important pieces of art work and that piece is the first you see!

"You Aerosols"
"Banksy shields his real identity - Robert Banks, 32 - and often wears masks or hoods in public"
God I hate The Sun.

A bad thing when the SUN run a Banksy Story??, by stillborncrisps on Mar 31, 2007 12:45:41 GMT 1, I smell a bit of a rat with this story.
First up, when the council orders workers to clean up graff don't they blast it off, not paint it really badly in black with a roller?
Secondly, the work was quite obviously on private property. Councils won't interfere with cleaning up that sort of work unless the owners specifically ask and pay them for the service.
And just to add a bit more discredit to the BBC's facts and 'story', the Liverpool gang were foiled in their attempt and did not make off with the work. This was reported on their own fucking website less than 6 months ago! news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/merseyside/6160611.stm
